I have tried tires with and without. The tires with are ready to go and indeed wear MUCH better. The increased durability is real and noticeable. My two year old front Cup 2’s have been flat amazing with how durable they have been. The tires I am removing have about 25% thread remaining, but feel like they have been “cycled” too many times now. They have served me for several years! They show a great deal of evidence of spinning from my last time out at the big track when we were checking out the “tune”. They were challenged even at over 100 mph. I want more and fresh traction.
My pair of drag radials hit their "heat cycle" limit even though they had plenty of tread left. They went away very quickly.

Yep, it is a bit strange, but yes all of a sudden it is like WTF those should not be spinning, it has good power but damn! I think they roasted them well. They are nice and smooth and shine like they were waxed. When I get them on the wheels and before I go up to the course, I think I’ll need to go out and do a little extra work bedding in my race pads and maybe set a timer to see what grip they have;).

Not the HC, but the HC chariot.

Took it to Street Night Wed, signals, brake lights and brakes worked fine. On the way home, the running lights didn’t work! It was dusk, only 20mi, made it home without getting pulled over.

Stupid mfr has an opening at the end of the longitudinal frame tubes perfect for a mouse to enter and make a home. And they found the wire insulation to be very tasty! Spent most of today flushing and vacuuming out mouse nests, making covers for the openings, and ripping out old wire. It looks like only the running lights are affected, they shorted and blew the fuse.

I now need to run new wires for the running lights, this time in plastic conduit and routed under the deck instead of inside the tubes. (All the original wiring that was not in the tubes was fine. Apparently mice only eat wires inside their house!

One more afternoon and it’ll be better than new!

BTW: I sprayed Kroil into the frame tubes hoping it will discourage potential new residents until I can repair and reinstall the running lights.

On the positive side (no pun intended) that's the perfect opportunity to get rid of those damn connectors.

I'd rather deal with rodents than those dumb things.

They really are one of the worst styles of union.

When I worked in industry, all EE's I worked with had the same rule: NO IDC (Insulation Displacement Connectors) ANYWHERE! (Let alone in an exterior automotive environment! (It will get it through the 1-year warranty though!)

Here is my method of connecting the lights. 16awg wire in conduit epoxied to the light. I'll use adhesive lined shrink tube at the splices. Adding sealant when necessary. Ground terminals will be coated with Fluid Film. This should outlive me!

Drove 300 one way miles to help out a Canuck friend who had a noisey blower. Played Hellcat Medic in Home Depot parking lot. Passed Ass Hat Expressway on the way. Visited the Falls. Had a cold much needed strong one when I got back.

Took the hc to work. Then an afternoon detail and on to dinner and a movie with my wife, mom and sisters. Kept with the tradition of parking far af from everyone else lol. Felt pretty good with the m6, rf lockout and there are some LEOs that stay parked at the entrance to the theater.

I would not have been able to leave mine out in the parking lot all day without chaining it to that Lampost that’s there at least lol
