well on the suggestion from a member that I will not name (COUGH SPEEDY ) I decided to share my experience with this hellcat community of chasing that track time that is so elusive because it changes every time I get there

I first thought mid 10s would be enough and id just stay at that and call it even and figured id be content but now a high 9 seems like it may be the goal ,I also will discuss the journey as it in itself is all part of the challenge and all the problems I have dealt with doing this (most that were self inflicted wounds) I would also hope this will provide some useful information along the way because i.m tired of lookinh at the other site to find answers to my problems
SO FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS maybe someone reads this and can answer yours and mine

NOW HERES A PET PEAVE HOW IS IT THAT I PUT ALL THIS DAMN WORK INTO MY CAR TO GET THIS DAMN 10.32 @133 AND MEANCAT RUNS A 10.4 ON ALL STOCK AND JUST A DAMN TUNE (HE WENT A TO B AND APPARENTLY I WENT ABCD)

There is A LOT of fine tuning involved once you modify your car. ( ask me how I know lol) . Plus temperature, DA. Altitude. Humidity, etc will also play with your times a bit . Don't get frustrated. Look at it as a challenge . There are lots of good people here that will help plus talk to your tuner .

GOOD THING IS THE CAR IS CONSISTENT
THURSDAY 10.4 s all four runs
two passes Saturday 10.3s ,I honestly expect with cold weather and traction ill see that elusive 9 ,then I have to decide what mods to do next
other then a boost a pump

you know I pulled the pump again and trash was in the bottom of it again ,the dealer changed the pump 2 times under warranty and no one else but myself have worked n it ,there must be some trash from shell or exxon getting in the tank or it could have been that I bought a gallon of 110 from the track last night bunch of black particle .I also wonder if its the black rubber hose that attaches to the top of the pump

These are from last night my 60 foot times are better and the suspension was stuck in sport mode ,can someone guess as to why it was stuck in sport???

Nice passes , good job. 10.32 is getting it done. What was the DA that night ?.. The track time slip should be accurate. Thanks for boosting my ego, lol, but like Hpindy said & you know there's a lot of factors on et's , for 1 when I ran my 10.46 it was in 300 DA last April , I ran 10.57 in 2500 DA this summer after some changes, second have you reduced weight ? …. I do pull my seats & trunk stuff most the time but not always , it depends on if I'm comparing 1 mod to another & how it was the last time.
Your doing real good & it's gonna get even better !
Not sure why it would stick in sport mode ? never heard of that , maybe something with tune ? is it still stuck ?

Not to say much about the track, but the pavement at 2 am at this place is brand new and great. It's a piece of road at the Wagon Wheel Flea Market. It is specifically made for 1/2 mile but used for 1/8 th great strip. Now everyone in Pinelles Co knows. Cops use the area for target practice cause it is on the bayou and a water area and they use their auto pistols and rifles there. A non city establishment, county, but the way the ammo skips across the water??? It is at least a mile away from the nearest home from A to B but?? Into the trees and back lash. We are on the water but abit si Not me of coursed ways. I can't shoot there but someone else can. From my house, on the water, you can here the burn outs at 2 am and the cops shoot at anytime they wish. Was a great place.

My car is full weight only weighed reductions is the wheels but I do have the front mount 3.5 race cooler that adds weight
It was stuck in sport because the shock wire had rubbed the inner left rear wheel, I repaired it yesterday

It could have been in the tank when installed on the assembly line . It can happen .

The DA was 1700 and there was no prep drag racing so I only got two passes that it hooked
