I’m sure I’m not the only LXF guy who remembers when SRT engineers would do EXACTLY that and had Q&A sessions with owners looking for honest feedback and were sincere about it…dang that’s going back just short of twenty years now. Looks like we’re quite literally at the end of an era…with Dodge/Hemi/ICE @ least…

I recall the CEO of Toyota saying that all of the car manufacturers are scared to say anything about the EV bullshit even though they know better.

I was watching some of the demon reveal videos. 100x better than the green troll they got now. Dodge really went all out on the latest and greatest vids.

It aint the gov driving this. Its corporate evolution. Gov can give small.incentives, 4 or 5 billion for entire sector, but these individual.companoes are dumping 20 to 40 billion each and more into EV. Those incentives are a cherry, but they cannot drive rhos level of adoption. Its simple tonsay its the govs fault, but the facts and records of how the decisions have been made do not back that up.

I disagree; even by the industry's own worst case scenario, the increased fines would amount to 1 billion dollars across all automakers. So a total of 6 billion a combo of in incentives and penalties vs. 500 billion in investment in EV across the industry. Having worked in large multinationals at a position w reasonable visiblity of such things i simply dont see it driving this level and speed of development and investment. It sweetens the pot, but if there was not a business and market case for it would not happen or there would be a huge pitched fight about it. Tesla, showing the viability of EV, the ability for it to reach massive stock valuations, and be a performance and status symbol amongst growing wealthy customers is far more responsible than the gov. The gov wants to.promote it, youre 100 percent right, but from my experience, the law, and econimics they cannot drive things like some kind of.mafia organization. Its that weird dichotomy: people will say the gov is all powerful, hyper efficient and watching everything they do, down to posting memes, but then that same gov is lambasted for being slow, stupid, inefficient, and unable to buy a toilet seat efficiently.
