Depends what they serve up for the offering, depends what sticker is, depends whats ADM is. Answer to your question. Probably not even if they build something I like, the ADM will turn my stomach. So most likely put the funds towards something else that was built when it was owned by Chrysler of 1960s very early 70s, or Daimler Chrysler ie Viper.

I had full intention of going out to the reveal, make a trip to my retirement property, and a couple of side trips. A week or so get away. But wife’s scheduled diagnostic testing now on Monday for surgery precludes it. Oh well Mark and Illegal Demon can report back and there is the streaming live video that I can either cheer or swear at. That is totally in the hands of Stellantis.

Ok, so is anyone really thinking about actually buying a 7th???

Or are we just poking at a ridiculous offering aimed at suckers?
125k and I can probably grab one.
Might even go as high as 150 but at that money there are a LOT of other cars i'd like to have. And what did Dodge really do to it to justify the huge price increases?
And if there is a lot of carbon fiber, then will they even be able to build all of them? Chevy is having issues getting carbon fiber for the Z06 and ZL1 1LE.

Guessing the forced packages with few or no real options + sizable price bumps + anticipated dealer games & ADM has caused flagging interest.
Caused me to bail on ordering a DDSRT or DDHC :(
The sizeable price bumps have done it for me.
WBs went from 78k sticker to 88k. But when they were 78, you could get 7k in PD plus further dealer cuts

I'm just not paying 20k more for the same car.

I have said this before but it seems to deserve repeating now and again:

The most profitable thing Dodge has ever done with the HC platform was to cancel it.

I saw this coming and bought a '22RE for 12% under sticker! Really, how much faster will these magic, overpriced cars be? :)

Yep but its only cash cow for that year. They done Killed the cash cow and Golden goose, what are they to do now cross fingers and hope the Electric Millennial gig pans out.

Unless by some slim chance they know their customers base better than we think and have more ICE lined up with electric. I would give serious doubt at this point.

Another, I have said this before...

So Dodge enters the EV market and their first offering is proclaimed to be a hyper fast Super Car. It took Tesla, what, 10 years to come out with the Plaid and Dodge thinks it’ll surpass that at their first time at bat?

I have great difficulty reconciling this.

I've been thinking...what if the real reason that they aren't going to build a ton of these is that they don't want the warranty headache. Sounds like this thing may be pushing things to the max and if they limit the build to ~300, then really what % of these things are going to on track.

I mean, if they opened up the ordering system and took all Sold Builds in a time frame, they could probably recoup more of the investment. But I'm thinking they want to go out on top, and doing it with a small build, can allow it to happen, without a shit ton of people blowing shit that will cost them a ton to repair down the line.

Well, from a business perspective they'd make this a poster board for the Direct Connection parts and offer those for sale after the fact. Tons of advertising on that.

Interestingly one of my neighbors works for one of the big Japanese auto manufacturers on future models. I got to chatting with him yesterday and got his take on the EV and future stuff. He said of all the cars he gets to play with the EVs are actually the most fun to drive and have the easiest ownership. He's a car guy (drifter) so I don't discount what he says. However he did say the biggest problem with EV is that it doesn't stir up the emotions ICE cars stir up and that's a wild card. In his opinion hydrogen will be king in 10 years.

I don't think it's going to be a question of price or wanting one. That list of potential buyers will be nearly infinite. Actually being able to buy one is going to be the real challenge. FWIW my bet is 149,900 MSRP (with CF wheels).
