Just my 2 cooper...make your car as fast as you want. Put a roll cage with a removable door brace and drive the car on the streets and have a blast with a +1000hp car. Only way I will stop driving my car on the street; if the exhaust gets too loud and I get tickets. Besides that...drive it like we stole it.

Pottery wheel ( low mileage only made 2 ash trays with it )
