85 decibels is not very loud in the scheme of a big city!! NYC can suck a big fat one as well as California! I remember reading about the Elantra owner when it happened. His was because of a douche bag cop

I remember nights in NYC where people were literally partying in the streets. Puking their ever living guts out at St. Marks. You named the sin, there was a place for you. Now its a commie shithole. Good riddance hope it sinks into the Hudson.
No mention of Legal council..(if he even has one)..should not be that hard to overturn...he will end up suing what ever borough had jurisdiction...he needs a better lawyer...
Agreed....ask the 6 million that do...I travel there for business once per quarter....drive in early morning...and leave by noon...wont spend a minute more there than I have to...

I don’t know about that. There is a kid by me that has a stock exhaust Hyundai Veloster that is the loudest most obnoxious sounding car I have heard in at least 10 years.
Stock everything except one of those crackle tunes. It pops and crackles so much it’s unreal and certainly doesn’t seem good for the car. I’ve heard factory tunes (D170) or even my SP with some pops and crackles but this thing is unreal. I’m wondering if some of these people getting tickets for a supposed “stock” exhaust have an overly aggressive crackle tune.
Nothing wrong with a little noise control as long as it is not targeting high end automobiles. Loud cars and trucks can affect the quality of life for many.
