Hit the limiter?
The limiter on an M5 is 190mph... they were neck and neck from 60-190! lol
And I believe it since they were WOT for about 18s and 60-130 only took the first 7.5-8s or so.

If I lean on the RE at 60, the tires break loose. That was before the S2. In 2rd, the M6 will hold for a sec and break loose. I don't see this vid as having any credibility. I don't know anything about the M5 but sorry, I don't buy it. I don't see any M5's (or any B's for that matter) at the strip or land speed trials, it all looks phony to me. Again, sorry.

RE in stock form is pretty slow tbh. Surprised the RE kept up. BMW M5 is fairly quick. From a dig I bet it beats the RE.

Don’t be sorry, but also don’t be so skeptical (or afraid to look it up), lol.
1/4 for the M5 is 10.75@125 and near identical 60-130 with low 8s.

I thought for a M5 COMP they were low 10s@130+ which is what a redeye will easily do too with just a rear tire. I know that’s super slow for some people though…

What do you have on the rear for tires when you daily drive?

the M5 with AWD would be very tough to stay with in most daily driving roads/situations…just like a Tesla, but I’d race one at the drag strip any day and from a roll on good pavement my car can do it’s thing.

Downpipes, intake and a tune and the M5 goes 9's easily and it doesnt need a big tire to do so.... But I guess with a few bolt ons the Redeye is going just about as fast with a good tire. Both will need ethanol to make any good power tho.

I had every single suspension upgrade from AAD in my Redeye and I still spun horribly with the MT Street R and that was on 93 octane smh. But it made 880 to the wheels which isnt slow.

On the street from a dig if the Redeye doesnt have a MT bracket Pro radial the M5 wins being awd. At the track probably pretty dam close. But that interior of the Redeye when compared to the M5 is comical at best lol.

Still chose the Redeye over the M5 tho....

$120k!!! Why not just go Plaid at $90k? Local guy does 9.1 all day long and 203.5 in the 1mi. Can't imagine the resale would be any worse.

I can only imagine how hard it is to hook at sea level, especially with your cold temperature range! I’m sure the pavement is always pretty sketchy too with all the snow and mixed precip events

Yes, sea level, not so bad in summer, but as soon as it cools, it's like driving on ice. Was out today, probably last drive this year, cleaned and covered it. With the P0AS 275's, I need to be gentle on the throttle all the time. The slightest push breaks them loose. Not such a bad thing! :ROFLMAO:

These cars are so much GD fun!!!! If I won the lotto, I might buy a Plaid to ring it out, but then I'd be done. Hell, I've been thinking about doing that anyway! But even if I won lotto, the BMW would still not be on the radar.

I don't drive fast, I am a careful old man. I NEVER test the limits in a corner, had enough of that decades ago. A fast Porsche or BMW would do nothing for me. BTW: When I was young, I DREAMED about owning a 911, but when I was able, I bought a Vette instead.

In the HC, every time I have a straight clear field in front, I lean on it, and it gives me everything I ever dreamed of. It is almost a joke to have such excess power. I do not see the same satisfaction coming from a BMW or Porsche, even it it is faster on the street, I am thrilled with what I have and barring a lotto, will not change! :)

Lost to everyone I raced. Can't beat that computer technology bmw has
As I implied, you could simply buy a Plaid and show them up, but you probably would not be as happy as you are with the HC. You can always do a pulley and E85 tune, and the HC engine will do just fine with it. The stock BMW is probably already pushed to its limit.

I am sure the only happiness the BMW owners is finding a car they can beat. Other than that, they are all miserable SOB's.

Im gonna buy one soon. Im over the "No soul" thing lol. I want self driving, free gas and all the tech that comes with it. I have plenty of toys I need a EV DD.

Yea, its fast but my Trackhawk would destroy it and put (10) car lengths on it 60-130 mph so the power doesnt really impress me but it is quick tho. My Turbo Mustang would put (15) car lengths on it easily if not more lol.

I spend $250-$300 a week in freaking gas fuck that. Im retired so I have nothing to do all day so I drive different places and spend an absurd amount of money on flipping gas!

They dont hold their value all that well but im looking to buy a used 2023 with FSD. FSD is like $8k when u buy new or add it. It doesnt make the used car worth anymore tho. Well, maybe slightly but no where near the $8k one spends.

Although I do like that new silver color and the newer sport seats are cool but some say the older ones are more comfortable. I prefer black tho and thats the cheapest color.

$120k!!! Why not just go Plaid at $90k? Local guy does 9.1 all day long and 203.5 in the 1mi. Can't imagine the resale would be any worse.
