I’m looking at getting a pair of slicks to put on my 17x10 racestar wheels. Are you guys running screws on your stock cars? And are tubes a must? I checked fitment and they clear that end link although barely.
I got zero traction at this facility with my M/T Rs. Maybe a radial slick? Anyway what say you?

Any reason you’re going with a slick and not a DR?

You may have to drill the valve stem hole in the rim to run tubes? You will need a way to lock your tire if you run tubes.

I have them 305/45/18 Mickey Thompson Rs. Work great on a prepped track. Need 200 lbs of concrete in the trunk to have marginal traction on unprepped surface.

Kinda what I was asking on a stock HC. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Gotcha. Stock HC has no problem on DRs on mild prep, and slicks with 4500lb cars can be a wild ride. Unprepped is a different animal entirely. My buddy ran slicks with his M6, no tubes and no bead locks needed to break an axle. YMMV.
