8.79 pass. Redeye in the other lane ran a 9.80 as a comparison 😬. And just btw..... I absolutely hate rap music. I had nothing to do with that! Sorry 🙄. Edit.... the vids are gone. Another interweb mystery.
The Redlist is a points series that runs at several tracks out west. This year one of the SoCal shops sponsored a Hellcat callout to crown the fastest Hellcat in the west at this event. There was a good turnout and it was all we were there for. We didn’t compete in the Redlist points thing. That’s what all those other cars were there for. Ron here (dragrcr) actually won that series title for 2020. Due to the good turnout and building Hellcat scene in the Southwest, I anticipate that it will turn into a annual event and get to be a big deal. We’ll be there!
I need to contact a friend of mine who has an 8 second '07 Charger (naturally aspirated). I think he goes to that race but missed it (and others) this year because his engine is back East for freshening and a different cam. I'll have to go down there the next time to help him out and spectate. The race sounds pretty awesome (and addictive!).
These are some pics the installer posted on Instagram. They are all I have for now. I’ll be picking it up at the end of next week to return to my shop to plumb the fuel system and I can get some more detailed pictures when I’m taking them. The cutting and joining and welding is pretty extensive. That 2x3 crossmember is the foundation for everything including the 7.5 cert cage. I’ll have pictures of all that if anybody is interested/curious.
No. I decided that with all the different components being changed, it will be better to just weight the car when it’s complete. It weighed 4499 the last time it was on the scales. I have a picture of that for proof so when it’s all done we’ll be able to see exactly what the difference is.
