Haha. Yes they are. And as it turns out..... a bit of a problem. The common rib beat down is not going to do it with these chubby fellows. There is going to be a much more invasive surgery required to get those things to fit. All in the same area but more aggressive. So stay tuned. It’s going to be a little more than what probably anybody else is going to want to do, but... that’s what I’m here for. 😝. On the up side..... took it for about a 10 mile drive in the 105 degree heat and she was like Godzilla on a leash. I lowered the IC coolant volume down to exactly half in the ice box. That’s about 3.5 gallons. After about 20 minutes the gauge was at 62 degrees. Did a actual temp check of the coolant in the box and it was 49 degrees (actually felt like ice water when I put my hand in it). So... the interchiller is working! We are going to insulate the lines and play with the charge level some, but it looks like we’re getting some encouraging results. Going to install some more files for drivability tomorrow morning and we’re looking at the dyno next week. C2984E84-1895-4D60-A932-C8F98FB7323D.jpeg B825BF31-A366-487B-BC08-2626AED94C69.jpeg

Got my new seats today. I decided that as nice as my black leather Braum’s are... I want a fixed seat for safety at the level we’re shooting for. At a total weight of 23 lbs, this should do the trick and still be comfortable for the street. 7F97C7B4-489A-4C13-A4FC-EF9E90B63788.jpeg 6B22F9DA-579F-4A92-9A66-B154D1712595.jpeg 9D2301E4-386E-4BBB-AB63-7F42BA991C33.jpeg FECA8B54-58D0-4BB2-8D2F-B16C728875F9.jpeg 4823301D-B4FD-463D-888D-1251769E579E.jpeg 01FAE513-55F8-4508-9299-8F3D9914DFD1.jpeg

First round of tuning is done. This is basically the street tune done on e85. Tim won’t go more than 18 degrees with this fuel. Race tune with the Ignite 114 will be next week after we get s chance to make sure the street drivability is good. Then we’re going to spank it!! 😝 44147978-A97C-498F-9F9E-10C1214F1B27.jpeg

That torque number is misleading. It was a blip. The actual curve is right on the 1000 line all the way across. Pull was nice and smooth without any issues. Timing with the Ignite will go from 18 to around 23 degrees. That should make a significant difference.

I hate to admit it was only a 9.82. It needed 145 mph trap speed to do that. The track was zero traction and it couldn’t get out of its own way off the line. Never had a shot at a decent track with DA below 5000’ after that and then the build started. That was was with the stock motor with pulleys build at 915whp. We’ll be working hard this winter to do better than that.

All kidding aside I'm waiting on the results you get in the traction department.

These VS the 315/50/17's

Hooking up is gonna be a very hard game to play.

Would be nice to have the boost bypass working in your favor. Would be cool for the car to blow off 7-8psi on the hit and 2nd gear and then let it take all the boost after.

Yeah we know that going in with the Whipple. That’s why we went to the trouble of making those big tires fit. It took a lot more than just a hammer. They will help but the key to getting this car to ET is going to be in the on track tuning that Barth and HemiTuner have been figuring out. That’s going to take a little while, so as hard as it is to be patient, I’m going to have to take my time with it. It will be a gradual process. We are going to put a race tune in it next week with the Ignite. I bought a drum of the fuel and a pump and we’ll have it in my trailer. The first and only goal for now will be to go faster than your dad did at Gila Bend. 😂

Try and test it before the half mile. At least some street pulls to get some data.

Don’t wait till race day to get on it.
