I don't think Tesla is political, but would go in the other cars forum section. And as far as I know this had nothing to do with any specific complaints but more of an in general discussion. This forum does run on a hosted platform after all and with the way some of that is going in tech right now (and I'm totally against by the way) better to play it safe than sorry IMO and put those polarized discussions in a section that requires actual forum membership.

Seems perfectly fine and fair to me. Are there people complaining about it? I saw where Paladin commented that he’s out. Is that because of what you’ve described above?

A couple of thoughts (see, how long did my vacation last?, hours???):

This is about saving our home and living to fight another day.

And yes, it's also about getting back to the cars that brought us all here together as a community in the first place.

We can all spew all the hyperbole we want, but at the end of the day, our home is at the whim of people that can literally click us away. Think about where we as a community rank in the world of people that have been cancelled for the exact same thing that we are doing, have been doing, and with this small change, can continue to do with much less worry about the consequences.

This wasn't easy, and wasn't done without thought and discussion.

I as a member don't have a problem with this at all. It's not censorship. You can still state your beliefs, you just can't puke them out on every thread, every where, all the time in everyone's face, where people don't care or want to see it. Kinda' like a professional athlete making a 'statement' at a sporting event or when actors make a 'statement' during an awards ceremony. Not the place or time IMHO.

I believe I am responsible for @Paladin06 getting upset. I moved his thread over to Anything Goes. I can only assume that as his comment came shortly after that. Hoping we see him again soon as it won't be the same without him here.
