The current generation Charger/Challenger will be gone by 2024 replaced with a new gas powered model. (optional hybrid and EV version of course)

I am not looking forward to this "Demolition Man" future. When I saw that movie as a kid I didn't know that this was going to be a semi-documentary of things to come.

Yep, that's where it starts, at the movies & internet to see what kind of a push back or back lash they get to move forward slowly & then suddenly it's here one day & it's over they got us & no turning back at some point.

They will be gone. You cannot fight the future. They just need longer range batteries. The price of ev cars will have to come down as the average person does not want or can afford the extra 10/20k on an ev vehicle. The next big industry will be ev recycling. It is not all honkey dory green for Evs. You need to mine for the battery materials. Recycling needs and will be a huge industry.

I don't think or trust that some are smart enough to put the horse in front of the cart.

The only electric motor I would contemplate at this time would be a proven electric servo spinning a turbo impeller. Twin turbos preferably, bolted on top of our current Hemified heads if it was engineered, tuned and integrated Correctly. Although don’t know if I could handle not hearing the sweet Blower whine.

Now where did I put that magic wand? There haven't been any significant advances in battery technologies in decades. And those miracle batteries aren't going to be enough, you need a way to recharge those batteries. And since California already has rolling blackouts because they can't handle their current electric needs that should work out fine.

What it will do is make you more reliant on the government. Anyone can drive down to the gas station and fill their tank but what do you do when the government-regulated electric utility tells you you've used up your fair allotment of electricity for the month?

I readily concede that modern turbo setups are more efficient, but damn it, I'm a mechanical guy, I'll still take a belt and screws over turbos any day of the week.
