Funny how the damper has a keyway yet our cranks don't have a key:unsure:

I had the same thought when I saw mine.
Maybe it will get on the car one day .

Do you have a ported blower? You also may have to drop to a 2.65. I think you are a 2.72 if I remeber right

I already have a pinned crank, I’m going to see if I can drill the slot instead of having to drill another hole in the crank.

Correct, I mean a 9.0 would be nice but if I don’t get there I’d be okay with that. If I go any smaller Im having the s/c sent out for race bearings, might as well port too.

So Ive been keeping this to myself tilm it got done. Havent had the car for a while, its been being paint corrected at a shop. I was tired of the fucking swirls. This is just after one pass.

After all the paint correction is complete full ppf/ceramic coat. It will never be 100% because of the existing damage but 80-85% of its original shine. Want her to look good for her first 9.0 pass… 😭 Garage is full of parts just sitting. Get her back Sunday, will go right into teardown mode.

Are you using a rotary or Dual Action polisher?
I'd think you can get back to 100 percent. I drove my black truck through the woods and through a fair amount of brush. Looking at the truck you'd never thought it'd be the same. Well I spent 13 hours buffing on it and there wasn't a single scratch left. Luckily none of the scratches were deep enough so I could fix them all.
Looks much better there. But before you do the rest of the car you may want to start more aggressive or wet sand first. If you are doing the work I'd take the time and work your way up in stages.

Already looks better. I learned long ago two things help keep paint looking brand new.

1. NEVER use one of those automatic car washes that has the rags that spin and drag over the car. May as well wash it with sandpaper.

2. Use a two bucket wash method.

Those two things and the paint on our cars looks brand new years down the road.

A lot of times I see bad swirls from guys who don’t like their car to get wet. So either just use a detail spray or just wipe the dust off.
Not saying that’s you just some people I know

yikes, yeah that's a given NEVER wipe on the car dry and you have to be super careful even with a good detail spray and the car can't be very dusty for that.

Mine's been ceramic coated so all I do is run it through a totally touchless car wash every few months and blow it dry with a cordless blower.

Micro fiber towels work just fine on my newly pained black H/C. It's pollen season down here and some one helped themselves to my Cali Wand.

I have a cali duster as well, have had it since 2003, good piece of kit. Also it’s time to fucking rock and roll!

I ordered a new wand today and a small one for the interior. I am impatiently awaiting my formal quote on my install of the inter cooler. I did get ahold of the engineer whom makes the product. We had some long emails. I made some suggestions and it didn't go over very well. I advised him of how and which direction I would go in. Like I shit in his grand mas corn bread. He didn't like it at all. But I am still going to purchase one. Damn Australians.

Okay was getting familiar with the kit. One item missing is the tees and fittings for the AC liquid line to txv.
