Woo hoo! First road trip in the Hellcat. Wanted to wait until it was past the 500 mile break in before doing any sustained speed/interstate driving. Had to memorialize it hitting a particularly hellish number...
...which reminds of my buddy's girlfriend/fiance who won't "let" him buy a Hellcat..because it has H, E, double hockey sticks in its name. I'd normally not mock someone for their faith, but that's a little much. He was amazed that she went for a ride in it with us.
Anyway, first road trip, almost all interstate, set the cruise at/near the speed limit, didn't drive like a fuckwit and pulled off nearly 21 MPG...look out EVs! First half of the trip I ran the red key/717 HP, the second half I tried the ECO setting. It got 1 MPG better on the return trip but that's typical anyway. Next time I'd just leave it in full power mode. Checked the boost gauge and it was in vacuum almost the entire trip, even with some mild grades.
STUPID comfortable, relaxing trip. Not sure I'd change/upgrade the exhaust as the stock system was right about perfect and not too loud, and where I live you basically have to drive 150-200 miles one-way to get anywhere worth going!
