200k?!? How much is a Ferrari??
F8 tributo is in the 4s and 5s, some even 6s

Sf90 stradale is 600k+ at sticker, retail anywhere from 700 to 1m.

New lambos are in the 3s/4s for huracan
Aventador (no more new) but last year they were stickering in the 5s and 6s but retailing in the 800-1.2m range

Mclaren is in the 3s,4s and 5s.

Porsche 911 gt3 stickers in the low to mid 2s but retail is in the 3s

Gt3rs stickers mid to high 2s with retail values probably gonna be in the 500-700 range.

  • 2022 Ferrari F8 Tributo (Starts at $280,000)
  • 2022 Ferrari F8 Spider (Starts at $302,500)
  • 2022 Ferrari Roma (Starts at $222,620)
  • 2022 Ferrari Portofino M (Starts at $227,000)
Icona Series

  • Ferrari Monza SP1 (Starts at $1,800,000 )
  • Ferrari Monza SP2 (Starts at $1,800,000 )
  • Ferrari Daytona SP3 (Starts at $2,250,000)
Keep in mind these are stickers.

If you think the c8 z06 has markups wait until you see retail values of an actual supercar like ferrari.

Roma and portofino aren't even desired but they were doing over sticker too.

And good luck getting an icona series, my parents have owned multiples and on a 296 waitlist but no way are they even getting to touch one.

At some point they become art pieces if we are being honest.

I don't know about you guys but if I spend 1m on a car I'm certainly not letting some jackass in a civic rear end me, or a dump truck throw some flying gravel leaving me with rock chips that ppf can't stop.

Man can you imagine if the hellcats had just a teeny tiny bit of luxury? I mean is front parking sensors and massaging seats too much to ask?

A few months ago we were in St Augustine sitting at a traffic light. Next to us rolls a Ford GT, the new model, going through the dirt and deep potholes so that they can make a right turn and not wait for the light.
I was shocked.

The Mercedes seat massagers always break.

Wish I had the money to drive the car like that and not care, I would be so careful when I get one of them unfortunately.

I've run a couple over 200K without incident. But they were older. Newer they are, the worse they get.

It was an 04 that was driving 3-5k miles per year.

The newer ones have more issues with electronics.

The 63s had headbolt issues for a while, I think they nailed it down on the w212 e63 (2014-2016 was my favorite because of awd) but the secondary components on these M and Amg cars are so unpredictable, some cars no issues and some cars all the issues.

Maybe people didn't ride the s55 as hard as the E's

Oh I know. Agree. Those are the starting $$ and cheap prices. The cheap models won’t touch the Z either.

My last one was a E550 2011. We lived oceanfront and the salt and sand killed the car. The best ones were a 93 300E and a 2001 E320. Both workhorses. We dumped the S55 at 100K. We were living on our boat and again the salt was rotting it out and it was beat up because of parking at the marina. I think it was a 2003?

The E was definitely more athletic than the S55 and I drove one before buying the S; I liked the E more but my wife liked the S sooooo...

I had the both the supercharger and the water cooled intercooler pump go out on it which was covered under warranty and was told (this was 10+-ish years ago?) that it was a $12K+ job.

Owning an AMG out of warranty is like dating a hot chick with herpes...you're gonna pay for it at some point!

Years ago I found an insanely clean S65 at a CarMax for like $40K under book (they were asking $90K and it booked at $130K+) that had less than 10K miles on it. Apparently it was already sold and on the way to Russia according to the sales joker I spoke to about and I told him if the sale fell through it was mine. They handle exceptionally for their size and are made to HAMMER (see what I did there?) down the autobahn at 150+ with almost boring stability and tomb-like silence thanks to their dual pane windows and insane soundproofing/insulation...

There's a private Mercedes specialist in Daytona who took care of our cars. Phenomenal service and prices. Just wish that they still make a decent car.

The cheap ones are basically just cruising cars for old folks. The f8 and 296 are the real competition
