Is a trans tune worth it??

We took a phone call from someone on Sunday. Yes a Sunday and not even a customer. He was having trans issues the whole way down the track and even out of the hole. He made 3 passes and was wasting a track day. He called had him send his tune over. We only touched the transmission tune and he picked up almost 3 tenths. We get asked all the time if a trans tune is a worth it. Yes, a good tune is very much worth it.

For the next pass he asked us to look at the engine side. We didn't add any additional max timing to the car. We just adjusted the timing ramp

That’s a nice pick up with a little massage tune of the Trans.
For daily driving will a trans tune hurt anything long term? Will it firm up the shifts ?

A good transmission tune will increase the life of it.

As stated above a transmission tune can prolong the life of the transmission if done right.

Yep 100% even if you’re stock and get a TCM tune only for some reason it’ll make a difference

Jon worked magic on my Redeye for road course duty. That first tune and my street tune basically is awesome. Most of it TCM he tells me. I don’t need more power like more boost would give. But his magic of TCM/PCM tunes are nearly unbelievable. That car is one bad ass now. Huh @Paladin06? < his Redeye has even more!

My Redeye is a whole new animal. @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC finally made it faster then my 2.85 pulley and tuned Hellcat. It’s a got damn beast.

First tune was a stock TCM tune. It was due to the fact that I just installed a Pure transmission and was testing, @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC has Pure singing like a dream now and it's only going to get better. We weren't able to touch the timing cause of bad e85 (tested e75).

THE ANSWER IS YES A TRANS TUNE IS WORTH IT!

First revision a gain ok now this is getting interesting. Second file even faster. I’m ready to send a third to put the thing to the moon and he says next week I’ll be on better prep 😊
I sent an email today not sure if you saw it. Asking about your axle situation. There’s a real chance you pop the front up real quick on this file. So i want to make sure you are prepared driveline wise. If you are on the demons absolutely no hop or they will grenade. @jgilj saw that happen to a similar tune on a demon a few weeks ago. It came up and the axle exited the building. He’s on better axles now and a second gear launch 🤣
