@Linda's Hell Cat Are you trying to say this customers car blew up because he didn't have a 180 thermostat? If you are I do think we should argue about this. Do you realize how many 9 second passes and 8 second passes I have on a stock thermostat? Sure I prolly should change to a 180 at this point now since I have a built engine and none of the factory tolerances. Do you know how many of these shops I have had to retune cars from because the cars do not run well at all and are just straight up dangerous when I have their logs and or file pop up in my inbox. I don't really care what everyone else is doing. I know at least one of the tuners on your list here recommends a package that is boost on a stock redeye then I had on my stock engine when I went 8.8s. I won't be following the way of some of these people. Maybe a thermostat is all it takes to fix overspinning a 2.7 blower and all the additional cylinder pressure. A thermostat will be the customers decision from me. His thermostat was open from being heat soaked. Doesn't matter at that point if you have a 100 degree thermostat a heat soaked car is a heat soaked car. I think if we are going to argue over thermostats we should also argue over spark plugs. But since they are difficult on a hellcat it is about the only platform you see not doing them. at the end of the day he added 2 pounds of boost to his car. Was at 14 degrees max timing on 100 octane fuel. A thermostat or not he'd be in the same situation he is in today.

Nope, but I wouldn't go without changing to the 180 T stat. It is a supporting Mod.

Even when my Hellcat was stock my husband liked adding 5 gallons of MS109 to my tank. it was summer and he thought that would help keeping the engine cool.

Spark Plugs ? another supporting mod and mine were also changed for Tuning in 2015 on my Hellcat.


As I already posted many Tuners and their Shops have their way of modifying Hellcats.
Even have had parts special made to go along with their build.

Every Tuner has an inbox full of complaints about other Tuners and or shops. Many Tuners will say Oh I looked at your last Tune and I had to fix many things. I've heard this at the track.


A lot of problems are caused by the customer. Yours is taking full blame. My husband always said you If you play you will have to pay. It's a choice.

There are many supporting mods beside T stats and spark plugs.

That would be helpful information to those that want to Tune at the track.

14 is very low. Typically a race fuel tune at this boost level falls in the 17 to 20+ range depending on fuel quality.

I really believe the Milodon 16406 is a better option. Others are all similar and some fail

Nobody should blow up an engine in 1 pass
When there is so much Proven info and combinations of parts that work together.
Look at the Proven info already in this thread !

Anyone on this forum should be able to learn information of what works and doesn't.
They also should know the meaning of what Integrity means!

After all he has done NOTHING for me. Never used him for anything!

Linda I am about to take this to a private thread. You and I have a lot of discussion I do not understand why you are trying to say his engine blown over not changing a thermostat. If you read the thread every other cylinder was perfect besides cylinder 2. this rules out pretty much everything knowing there is a known issue with cylinder 2.

Ran it in my daytona then installed it in my hellcat. I have way more trust in it then the others that have failed.
