In other words a bit chilly:ROFLMAO: and 30 degrees is like a heat wave
Perfect weather for the crazies and their battery powered cars, especially in the winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that's a charging EV suffering from a thermal runaway.
I wouldn't park one of those electric exploding bombs in my garage or buildings...

It should be shut down, the truck makes so sense if the purpose is to tow and haul stuff as it does both poorly in terms of usable range.
I buy a pickup for hauling, towing and traveling. My 2018 Ram does all the functions, very well. I plan to buy a new Ram Classic, in the very near future. I won't have to worry about cold, heat, towing distance, charging and the darn thing catching fire in my garage. My new Ram truck will do me for many years, maybe by then, people will wake up and see the electric vehicles for the for what they really are, expensive, dangerous junk with a tremendous cost to our environment and a financial boom for communist China.

More fake news

No, Millions of Cars Are Not Catching Fire Every Year (caranddriver.com)

"AutoInsuranceEZ studied the frequency of fires—from all causes, including collisions—in automobiles in 2021. It found that hybrid vehicles, which have an internal combustion engine and an electric motor, had the most fires per 100,000 vehicles (3475), while vehicles with just an internal combustion engine placed second (1530 per 100,000). Fully electric vehicles had the fewest: 25 per 100,000. These findings were based on data from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Bureau of Transportation Statistics".

The good news is Dodge is making this 7500 lb baby next year to compete

All the tooling has been delayed

Are EVs cheaper to register because of the weight like trucks?

There is a huge difference between reducing your tax rate versus getting paid by the Federal Government. For example, some who have the right investments, business pay no taxes, legally. The businesses typically revolve around real estate. For example, if a apartment building is purchased and improvements are made and the value goes up the property can be refinanced, money pulled out of the property and the invested in other property, the money pulled out of the property is NOT taxable. The very very wealthy pay no or very little taxes, Warren Buffett used to say his secretary pays more in taxes than he does. Is Warren Buffett getting a handout because he pays very little federal taxes? No, it is called being smart and knowing the tax code.
Again, go into politics. Although they not accept you for being overqualified.

LOl, most of the EV cars weigh about the same as a charger hellcat. Ioniq5 weighs 4,500/4,600 pounds. The EV trucks are real heavy due to the size of the battery

I'm having too much trouble just getting you to the water...I'll deal with the drinking part if/when we get there.

What subsidy are you referring to?
He's referring to the subsidies that you said you took advantage of.

Maybe the definition of subsidy will be useful, a tax credit is not a subsidy.

I think the main difference here is that regular vehicles don't tend to start burning while parked. I'm sure it does happen on occasion, but EVs certainly seems to have the market cornered when it comes to spontaneous combustion.

But hybrids also wants a piece of the action, as evidenced by the recalled Jeep 4Xe. Don't park one of those in the garage or near other cars, they say.

If you're going to go with any of these types of vehicles. I would say keep it to Toyota. They've been doing this for a couple of decades and seems like they have it figured out.

I wouldn't touch any other brand.

I agree, however, lots of moving parts and an ICE to maintain. I am used to not changing oil and or having to wind up the motor to get the car to move. I had a conversation with a owner of Porsche EV at the EA charging station. He also had a hellcat Durango. He said that the hellcat Durango was "slow" compared to the Porsche from a dig and he too could not see buying anymore ICE vehicles.

The EA charging station is like the water cooler, many different vehicles pull up and some are friendly. I guy was charging a Harley Davidson EV motorcycle last summer, talk about a cool conversation.

I must be the only one here who has both hellcats and EV's.
