I balanced the wheels then mounted the MT's and they were off 5 and 8oz, shook like hell nearing the end of the 1/4. I had them re-balanced without removing the "wheel" weights, now I have "wheel weights" and "tire weights" distinctively marked and photoed. If the tires spin, I can remove and replace the "tire weights" in the new position. So far, I did 8 passes in the 10's and the tires have not moved at all.
Note: The severe imbalance might not be all on MT, the dealer f'd the install and the 2nd guy showed me the damage, chunks of the tire were removed but fortunately they still seal properly.
