Friday Night Drag Racing @ Brainerd Motorsports Park

For those in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina - racing is on @ Brainerd Motorsports Park Friday night under the lights TNT!

We raced there for the first time last weekend. Great prep, did not spin one time and staff are nice as can be and helpful.

Hope to see some other Demons, Red Eyes and Hellcats out there.

I'm just outside Chickamauga GA which is only about 25 miles from there. I got my redeye in December and been wanting to go there but have never actually raced on a drag strip so I'm a little hesitant to go there by myself and look like an idiot the first time! Lol!

Born raised, hatched, and had my ass drugged again,, since 15 years old enough to date the Vice Principal. Still have her grand baby on the show me the Hell Cat program. Right in my ole jail house rock mud hole. Or, was that her name. Great place till it rains. love to visit. Need a schedule do to untamed buz ness. Great to hear the program alive. I was principal of Central High cheer leaders sneaker inspections.

Troytbo10 - that is why we are here to help you. Come on out and we will give you all the knowledge about Drag Racing and you will have a great time.

Just a couple of notes before hand and let me share the advice @Linda's Hell Cat gave me last year when I started to drag race in this Hellcat:
1. You paid full price like everyone else at the track....take as much time as you need setting up and launching your car. Just get comfortable and RELAX before the green light drops
2. Ask tons of questions at the track and on this forum. We are here to help you, but don't listen to @hellno

I only live about 1.5 hr from there.. but it's been a looong time since I've been there. If I remember correctly it was '06 or so, we had an OL10.5 car at the time and we broke the crank there(it broke in the middle and actually spit the block). It cost me a small fortune and maybe ever since I've been afraid to run there. lol

I have heard good things about the current management though so maybe once all this virus stuff settles down I'll drive the RE down and give the place a try again.

As you know; racers are not standing on top of each other and now; we do not shake hands before or after a race.
So business as usual on the track. lol

Btw, this is a good track. People say it is hands down the best 1/8 mile outside of the House of Hook in South Carolina. I see maybe less than 10% of people spinning and they had dragster last weekend and those things were putting down some power.

@Troytbo10 go try out the 1320 & have some fun , you'll get plenty of help just ask , we all had our first time & it's not perfect all the time anyway with all the variables of racing , it's fun to keep trying for your best.

Well boys and girls - COVID-19 strikes again! Brainerd just closed until further notice

But it will NOT stop me from racing this weekend. We have a private track rental already paid for at Silver Dollar. At least get to race one day this weekend. \

I will post if any other tracks are open in the surrounding areas.

We have already paid for a private track rental on Saturday. The state of Georgia is allowing 20 cars and 1 crew member for paid track rentals. So we are racing this weekend

I went to Brainerd High School in the 70's. 1670's. Driving a Dodge Dart and 64 Cutlass, back then Oldsmobile made in Oldlsmar, Fl. True or Hickster humor. Paired up with friends that had a 70's GTO 455 and a 70's Mach 1 and Road Runner. Not to mention the Chevelle 396 running each off the road. Great times. Smoke a dime bag and get a female grab to get cha thru to lunchster and good till 3 pm and race.
