To me it seems like Dodge is really kicking the Mopar community to the CURB. First the future of raw Ice is being taking away sooner than later for the Hellcat age. Second they are charging insane monies for the last of the ICE Age performance. Stellantis will ruin the American brand in the end to cater to the European Flair sadly. Electrification is the constant talk among the Stellantis group and we most likely will see the ICE Age be just that Ice Age.
Edit: Off-topic
When hasn't dodge done weird shit though, they are over here sharing hoods between charger hellcat variants but on the other hand try to make the redeye "exclusive," by deincentivizing leases with a 6% mf rate as compared to .14% on the hellcats.
Look at their excuse for no adaptive cruise control on the charger hellcat but the challenger hellcat gets it.
Then look at how the trackhawk, durango, and trx have awd but the charger which deserves it will never get awd.
I have never seen so many contradictory moves done by a single company outside of fca.
I was talking to a few local owners and other car guys and they said if the interiors were revamped throughout the years so they didn't look like a rental car interior + new tech and options of awd then they would have no problem paying for a 95-105k charger/challenger which was shocking to me.
I'm really interested in what this electrification will bring because with the proper use of a v8, hybrid battery and updated interior and tech there's no doubt in my mind at 100k they can compete with the m5's, blackwings, e63's, etc etc
