I think I'm done with dodge, I just had a dealer secure one at msrp then 20 minutes later can you do 10k? A few phone calls later some dude called in and offered 50k, no loyalty today lol.

You mean the dealer was willing to sell your ordered car to others if they were offering to pay more than you?

Seen that many times (somewhere I posted the Doctor in Houston who jumped to the head of the MB high performance waiting list by always willing to pay more - I watched the dealer take someone elses car and sell it to him, without ever calling the person who originally ordered it, or ever letting them know it was received). It's all bullshit. The only way out would be to go to the dealer with your own contract, one which prohibits them doing that, and having them sign that one, instead of using their own. They will laugh and tell you not to let the door hit you on the way out - in legal terms this is called an adhesion contract where there is not really any bargaining power on one side of a contract negotiation. It's shit. Only thing worse than dealers is the time share industry - their contracts force people to commit forever, INCLUDING THEIR DESCENDANTS, to the rip off provisions.

That was the point of my comment about part of me hoping they would produce a version with more mass appeal. Not slamming the focus, just saying it's a much harder sell internally if you can't point to broad audience to justify the expense.

That's part of the question I asked above about the kits (and dealer installation of them to secure the warranty). How much does that cost? If you can truly get these cars at MSRP, does it make sense to buy the kit if it ends up costing more than just buying the car in the end?

If I had put a deposit down and signed something I wouldn't care but the fact that I did kinda sucks, they basically said f*ck ur signed agreement and f*ck ur deposit you can take both and shove it up ur a**

The whole thing with the car is that it will hold or go up in value.

In theory you could have a superstock with swapped out demon pieces or even a redeye and they won't be nearly as valuable for the simple fact that their vin says "super stock" vs "demon."

This reminds me of my phone call earlier, I call in to a dealership asking about a demon allocation, this guy tells me oh yeah you're not getting that car it's going to one of the partners......

Gotta love it, never have I seen such wild sh*t, dodge gives a dealer an allocation to FKN sell a car and management in the dealer decides its their car. The rich get richer I guess

Honestly I'm over it, I'm glad I didn't cave at 20k and throw a deposit on it. I'll just be happy with my charger redeye if dodge builds it, it was fun dodge but time to move on to bmw and porsche with the way dodge is going forward. 🥹🥳
