Worn shocks causing it to "wobble" doesn't make sense. Sounds more like a broken or bent suspension piece. Like a control arm. I would get a second opinion

Heard you can get them rebuilt. I worry about mine but till they leak..

How many miles? Parts wear, especially suspension and steering components.

Have them take a hard look at your control arms. Does the wobble only happen under braking? Can you give us a little more info on when/how the car wobbles?
