Don’t know what thread to use, so let’s do it here. Everyone who has done a good smoke show or I imagine warmed the rears at the strip has a goofy 0-60 on their timers. Potentially the 1/8th mile is shanked?

If your anal like me I hate it, and want the correct data.

Looks like it takes a Star reset of the radio. Sounds like about everything except the odometer gets reset. I’ll have them do it when I can drive it and update. But, I was at the dealer today and 3-4 geniuses agreed that is about the only way. Well, that is before they all flunked except one. They all but one believed the user could reset the 0-60. The Advisor was looking on the internet and was looking at the two Forums for the answer. I told him to quit it, he was embarrassing me.

oh yeah. a recent burnout gave me a 169 top speed. it would be nice to be able to reset some of the odd crap that sticks, but I have a best 1/8 I'd like ti make permanent, too funny not to keep. 6.0 at 69 mph -- had to let up due to wheel hop. it'd also be nice if the 0-100 best time was saved

"These products help us to fine tune the little driver mod along quicker for those last few seconds and to maintain consistent lap times. Otherwise how can we know we have optimized our laps?"

So I thought maybe Nutrisystem would help my "Driver Mod" lose 30 pounds, but decided not to try it. It's really hard to resist Marie Osmond though... I started a low carb diet in December, and that hasn't worked as of today. It must be my frequent lapses. I'd go towards the refrigerator after a low carb dinner and my wife would call out, "Where ya' going, Honey?", trying to save me from myself. I'd yell back, "Nothing to see here, Honey, move along! It may look like a lapse, but I'm thinking it is just another lap from my easy chair to the kitchen! Getting my steps in!"

I try and get my 500 steps in every day.

So I think my "lose Challenger front end weight" Driver Mod may have to resort to Liposuction. DGatzby, your apples to apples concept has got me thinking...always a dangerous thing!

To really know how all the other performance mods work maybe we should adopt a personal handicapping system, sorta like for horse racing jockeys. We get a strong box of varying lead weights, in various sizes, so we can finely adjust the weight of the box plus or minus 20 pounds, and we glue the box to the floor behind the passenger seat. We start our box off with weights totaling 20 pounds - in the middle of the adjustment range. We gear up for the track - helmets, fancy racing shoes, fire proof gloves, asbestos-lined boxer shorts - the whole track day rig - and weigh ourselves. Then we go out and get some times at the drag strip or the road course track. This personal weight, and the weight of the car, is our baseline!

In the future, whether we've been mainlining pumpkin pies and put on some weight, or gotten the whole body Lipo (with cold body sculpting, of course, to target that last bit of beer belly love handle) and lost weight, we'll adjust the lead weights in the box so our car/human total always weighs the same.

That's what my wife keeps saying - she gets about 10,000 steps in every day according to her iWatch/iPhone which she is never without. I have one of those things somewhere...lemme try and find it *grin*.

That's my plan this spring to impress her! I'm going to argue the turning of the wheel with my arms is equivalent to the leg steps.

Before I started getting a little more serious I used to drive to Waterford Hills and M1 Concourse and Nelson Ledges in my car. I was using the factory brakes and had really only done the MP springs and some 10" wheels and Pirelli R compound tires. That setup was ultra cheap. It was basically the fuel I used and about $250-300 per track day. The brakes lasted a long time (2 seasons) and the tires also lasted about 8-10 track days. As I started going to higher speed tracks the need for better brakes became apparent. Then I wanted to get some better tires . . . at least I haven't switched to Hoosiers yet. I have a friend with a Hellcat Charger who has. I'm waiting to see how long they last him.
You have ran a Challenger Hellcat at Waterford Hills? How was it? That is one tight course I run my 911 out there and it gets tight for that I couldn’t imagine running my Challenger there.

You have ran a Challenger Hellcat at Waterford Hills? How was it? That is one tight course I run my 911 out there and it gets tight for that I couldn’t imagine running my Challenger there.
I have run several cars at Waterford Hills. I have a video of my Scat Pack and later my Hellcat on track under my YouTube channel TrackDay62. The car doesn't change directions quickly so it's about being smooth and finding straight lines wherever possible.

I have run several cars at Waterford Hills. I have a video of my Scat Pack and later my Hellcat on track under my YouTube channel TrackDay62. The car doesn't change directions quickly so it's about being smooth and finding straight lines wherever possible.
Thank you I will check out your videos. I have had some bad experiences with Corvettes there and figured the Challenger would fall into the same group. My Porsche does well there but is a lot smaller of a car. I just figured Gatton or like you mentioned Gingerman which I love would be a better fit. Thanks again.

Got it out up here in the frozen north finally and can begin to put down some of my opinion on the DiabloSport branded Shock Controller.

Objective real data is coming once we can get to the tracks. This is my first subjective impression of the device just during street driving. I drove around today, it was 55-60 degrees, not much wind. A great first day of the season, 100% sunshine, and just cool enough to help the supercharger sound great. The car was a pleasure to drive.

This is a stock power Widebody Redeye. The suspension is modified, cradle bushings, all control arms and their bushings. I have OE springs on the rear and KW adjustable on the front set to OE height. Today it had 12” wide rear wheels and 345/30 PS4S BACK FOR THEIR THIRD SEASON AFTER NEARLY 9000 MILES and 11” wide front wheels and new heat cycled 325/30 Cup 2’s. I always said these mods actually make it ride better. Okay, so far so good, now add a different shock controller.

All roads I was on today, I am very familiar with. The controller does a noticeable job. The first thing to notice is two fold. When braking, that front end is more firm. When driving along, the ride is more smooth, without the quicker rebound formerly built into the shocks. The different suspension modes only make slight perceptual changes now while driving down the road. They have different characteristics when you challenge it.

When driving on a very rough road it does make the ride less harsh. We went out on a fairly rough road and tried things at high speeds. While the road was rough and usually would cause some stability concerns, today there were less violent movements transmitted to the body of the car, less dynamics were being transmitted to my steering/hands. It all contributed to having more confidence and maintaining more control of the vehicle. It was more “easy” to drive.

It does good stuff for acceleration. Attempts from a stop today were tough given the bit of dust remaining and the cool surfaces, so the best time to 60 was recorded at 3.7 seconds. That run included a slight spin, so then off the throttle and then slow application of power, but I was able to get things going in second. I may have blacked out for a moment, but someone who was also a 250 lb weight in the car with my 200 lbs may have said something about 11.4/130 or something. I don’t know what he was talking about.

In several pulls at speeds, it does bite down well, I can feel the controller is working that front/rear bias different. It did one thing later in the afternoon that made me believe it was really biting down. Coming away from a stop, I did get WOT in 1st. She made the hiccup! You get that 1-2 hiccup and the drag people tell me it has to be getting good traction. In every pull and some were on purpose high speed to confirm it is ready for my road course fun, it ALWAYS got traction at any speed over 10-15 mph, and it always pulled straight ahead, it never felt unstable. With that, I am confident it can launch out of corners as expected.

In the corners it also felt different. It turns in more easy, it sustains rounding the corner more easy and I can tell it will promote rotation and allow me the confidence to get on the throttle quicker. The controller feels like it is countering some body lean. The vehicle can be driven very, very smooth through corners. Good before, like a dream now. I had a passenger nearly screaming because they looked at the speedo in a corner. I assured him we were well below the vehicle’s capability.

That is enough, it is an absolute pleasure to drive, it is very stable at speeds on even nasty surfaces, it is safer, it is more fun, it does corner better in many ways.

I can tell just after burning a half tank of gas today it will benefit me on the track. We have several track sessions scheduled in May to get good data from including two days at Road America and now BIR in June to get a lap time comparison on my home track. I will also be able to try it with a square OE wheels and 305/35 setup (early Toyo R888R then switch to PZero PZ4) at RA compared to a 12” wide square wheel set-up with tires the same staggered size as today all Cup 2’s.

I was anxiously awaiting to hear your impressions on this. Have you come across any downsides to it?

Hopefully it would produce similar improvements in a non-widebody application...

I was anxiously awaiting to hear your impressions on this. Have you come across any downsides to it?

Hopefully it would produce similar improvements in a non-widebody application...
I can’t say anything bad. I don’t think it would be any different Widebody or not. I burned one of the most enjoyable half tanks of gas yesterday I ever have done. It feels much more friendly to my liking. The stability at high speeds because it has all four shocks working independently and I believe some more forgiving rebound when it is not sensing any inputs, or sensing g-forces, seems to help. It seemed more under control, and God help me with this, it gave me more confidence at the higher speeds! Their control the same way (independent shock controlling) into, during and coming out of cornering is very noticeable. Looking at this on the track and then changing the controller back out and comparing will be interesting. So far, I can only tell you guys what my butt impressions are. The pull when we hooked, the hiccup down low, late in the day when the tires and road was warmer, were all good signs also. I tried a few 0-60’s and each time, it flat won’t hook from the stop at all (just too cold yet), and then would want to hop a bit before getting smooth, would normally be producing fours and five second 0-60’s. Yesterday it all produced high threes. I think it does pull better when hooked. Whatever it does quickly at launch is different and I need to play more. But for me, that just is not as important as what it does left and right.

I am glad I have some time booked on a short slower track near here in early May. That day will give us some real data to look at. But, sometime soon one of the drag racing types should be getting us some real time slips.

Awesome. Sounds like the nose dip under braking is a winner. I'll be anxiously awaiting (again) your impressions on the shorter track. Hoping it also helps will body lean.

Initially, I didn't care too much about the improved launch, but after thinking on it for a bit, there are probably 4...maybe 5 slower corners on my track where you really have to feather it on exit, or it gets real squirmy, real quick. Perhaps this will help in that area as well.

As to your comment regarding confidence, sometimes the 'feeling' you have is half the battle. My HC felt more 'on the road' and less 'in the road' than my 09 felt. (Like the 2 dipshits in the 'grounded to the ground' Toyota commercial).

Just all perception as this one would run circles around the 09. But it just didn't have the feeling that inspired confidence. That improved a bit after replacing the Pirellis with Conti Extremes. Hopefully this thing will do the same...

Spent about an hour doing specifically what AAD told me to do for the front end changes with tabs for road course use. BULLSHIT! Bullshit meter hit 100% and I am damn pissed! I had to jockey around with the rear and finally got it all last year. Problem with the front is the toe. They flat represented when installing the tabs for more negative camber relative to the street (OEM recommended) settings, it will move it dramatically in the toe-out direction. Therefore, we don’t have to mess with thentoe setting up front. WRONG! Installed the max tabs I could (oh and thanks those $700 arms won’t take the -8mm tabs we have), and now my toe is off the chart negative. Similar shit happened last year before I could DIY my alignment and it ruined a weekend. One or two iterations tomorrow and I’ll have something that will work, but it is not worth what they charge for it. Bullshit!

Why am I pissed? Because after the first hour (that is what I planned on a valuable weekend), I have spent an additional FOUR trying different combinations. None of these combos are even remotely mentioned by anyone. Bullshit!
