that oil level wouldn't concern me at all, especially knowing it's coming out soon

Too much gap? It's probably there because they didn't wanna work any harder than they had to in order to fit the 315/50 without rub on the hit.

Rock it. You're just looking for a cheap Street setup right? Who cares. It ain't going anywhere fast until the meats go back on anyway.

Thanks to @TNREDEYE for letting me swing by his shop today to try on some shoes. This is the Hellcat 2 widebody 20x11 wheel with a 305/35R20 on it. Looks like too much gap to me but I'm running out of options. Kinda a bummer they made this car sit so oddly and don't offer a street setup. I emailed SRT Concierge and inquired about the DC street setup that's supposed to be coming and they told me they had no info and no idea if/when it would be available. They said the "engineers" tested a 275/40R20 up front on a 9.5" wheel and a 275/40R20 out back on a 20x11. Huh????

Ugh.

Also, ya'll sure this isn't too much oil?

View attachment 130867
Yes, too much gap.

Just change your oil and filter already and put it to rest. You’ll do your engine and yourself a favor in the long run. You could never change your oil too much and you’ll sleep much better afterwards.
Drain it hot and take an oil sample for a baseline starting point.

They rub on the hit from cradle movement anyway!

315s fit fine due to wheel offset, it has the same space as a widebody. Ride height may be tuned a bit differently

As long as the oil doesn’t smell like fuel I’d wait it out.
I agree, way too much gap.

Given what we know about your automotive OCD I would imagine that you have checked the oil in that car like 467 times already, so you have likely already wiped nearly a full quart off that dipstick ;).

My 2017 came over filled by about 3/4 of a quart, and it bothered me as well. I ran the car to 500 miles and then did the first oil change including the cooler. No issues moving forward.

Maybe its the great dipstick debate starting up again, and we will find out that you have the wrong dipstick and you have to run to the parts counter for that updated 8 quart dipstick.

I said it could be like the 18 and have a big gap. I wonder what is so different the demons sit that high?
305/50/20 at around 32" sounds like a lot but being you have that much gap i bet it would look fine. 305/45/20 maybe

Looking into it i think a 315/40/20 would be perfect

You can also drain a quart of your oil and put it on eBay for $75.00 or so. Some genius with a Scat Pack will buy it, so he can brag to his friends on how his car now makes at least 500hp with Demon 170 oil in it.

maybe they put more gap in the back to create more movement rearward down on the rear tires? Id get the HC WB rims and put 315/35/20s on the back and call it a day. For me I cant see it from the drivers seat.
Or you could get 305/40/20 which would be a hair taller and likely fill the gap as well as the OEM but that would limit your tire choice a bit.

Figuring out a tire size that would look right is easy.....finding an actual tire in that size not so much. I even thought maybe a 315/45R18 to keep that small rear wheel bigger front wheel look, but no dice.

I may have to get drastic and look at swapping the rear springs to Hellcat WB springs to lower the back. Swap the Demon ones back in for the track. Measuring the 170 against TNREDEYE's Super Stock yesterday from center of wheel to fender, mine was 1.5" taller in the back. Mine was around 18" and his about 16.75".

I'm assuming the rear springs are taller and "softer" to allow suspension squat on launch.

Pirelli must have made some at some point since they showed up in a search. I have demon springs in my car and the rear is about 1/2" higher. Sure they will settle some. Nitto makes the 50 series why I brought it up. I would put a taller tire on then change rear springs

I'm still searching, but so far can't find a tire that'll work. Dodge really put us in a spot with this car. Shoulda sold it with a street tire/wheel and let the drag radials be an option. If I drive 100 miles the back of the car is COVERED in black rubber dust from the DRs. They won't last 3,000 miles.

Agreed but I may have no choice until (hopefully) there's a solution. If SRT's recommendation is a 275/40R20 on a 20x11 wheel that's not gonna work either.

Put these on your favorite 20” rears and get great wear and some decent performance and enjoy it. You can’t find a decent car street tire much taller.
