I’d venture to say billions. Their EV investment not only cost them sales but countless dollars in R&D.

CARB is included in all the EPA reversals. States can still do some stuff but even Newsom had said CARB had outlived its usefulness, so I would expect changes there also. These are going into laws not just EO which could easily be reversed by the next liberal administration
Gotta say I'm shocked...now I wanna see what NY is gonna do on the state level:unsure:

Tim K stated that between all of them, they had $500B invested.

It's not clear who "ALL" of them are?

The Big Three, or literally ALL of them.

They be we - ultimately it will be all of us paying down that bad investment as it is already being baked into the cost of a new car.
$115k Hellcat Durango's - does anyone seriously think it costs anywhere near that price tag to roll them off the assembly line

if timmy k and friends were smart, they'd stuff whatever v8's they have on-hand into anything they'll fit, and get them on dealer lots quick [end of this month would be good]. shutdown the retooling at brampton, if it's in a state where it could be reopened, and start building Challengers, 300's, and Magnum's [use the latest charger front facsia, since they have their new charger design in place] as fast as is reasonable, worry about design changes/updates later.

Would be nice to see 426's [NA and SC], now that the EPA restrictions are out of the way. it's one thing that'd put me back in a buying mood. along with any other displacements kept from the buying public due to the damn gov't

Put a big bubble hood on that thing that was going to be an EV with fake exhaust, make a frame to receive it all, & fit a Hellcat engine in it. Oh and make the whole thing about 1000 lb lighter than our “old” Hellcats. Think of the customers!!

Does anyone have a clear understanding of what this means for states (like my Communist State of Colorado), for which I JUST did an emissions test on my HC for renewing my plates, and whether or not they will (or can?) continue with emissions testing???
Back in the 80s the emission testing was just the Denver metro area. Friend of mine used his dads address in the mountains so he didn't have to do it. Did they make emission testing state wide?

When we first got here in '91, it was still by county. I forget when, but now it is state wide as far as I know.

The red herring. States can still do “inspections” for safety and one of the scummy things to do would still be a CEL light check or emissions tampering. There are still federal rules that states can enforce.

Looking forward to the CRA process to remove all rules and the TFA and Stop CARB Act passing to nail them.

I assume the inspections are self funded, so even if federal funding was withheld (or disappeared) for those things, the states wouldn’t care.
Since NY is run by idiots, our regs will get worse to offset the federal leniency.
