Ford's full year revenue was $185 billion, with a net income of $5.9 billion (talk about operating expenses):

So if I understand this correctly, Ford's net income of almost $6 billion would nearly double if they nixed the flashlights-on-wheels.
EV's are only ~3% of world vehicles, yet they are severely damaging manufacturers net profits. Anyway you look at it, this is bad business.
