I bought one last year that only lasted about ~month before it stopped working (I forgot to take the FOB out of the bag and the door still opened).

So then I purchased a different brand that advertised "3 layers", and now that one stopped working after ~2 months.

That had me considering the GoDark Vault key Fob case. It's double the price of the pouch at $50 ea, getting away from the soft pouch design:

But before I ordered it, I thought my keeping the keys attached to the FOB while it was in the pouch had possibly contributed to damaging the signal blocking liner.

So the bottom line is, I had an extra unused pouch that I will now test out without the keys attached. I'll keep you posted ...

This is a worthy post. I bought three for the three key Fobs - two pockets. One isn't shielding anymore. I could try lining it with aluminum foil.

I do have two house keys on the Fob that I use the most - they may have damaged the wiring inside the fabric that creates the Farady Cage.

There actually is an alien abduction that supposedly happened here with 2 people that worked where I now work.
As an addendum, my father always believed that they were smoking the funny stuff (although they denied any such activity).

Don't know if it actually happened or not, but both maintained there stories up until their deaths.

I wonder how many thousands of people are unknowingly using defective Key Fob Bags?

The companies who make must be aware of the problem. Seems they'd be liable for any losses incurred by their customers ...

Possible reasons for the visits:

As Hunter mentioned, we're a large open air zoo ..................
We're some advanced species science project gone horribly awry and they're trying to figure out how to rein it back in
Our buttholes are simply irresistible and fascinating (but the Mando woman might F that up for them)

Seriously tho, while I do believe we're not alone in the universe, I don't believe visitors from another world would come here to abduct/experiment on people or animals. When you think about the level of development & knowledge needed for interstellar travel, they would have no need to come here for food, water or minerals. They would have solved those issues eons ago. At best we're a curiosity and they are watching to see if we blow ourselves up or actually 'grow up' and achieve a level worth contacting.
