I think FCA put out a story about the Challenger/ Charger customers being the youngest for comparable car ownership at avg age 51. Age goes higher with each model upgrade. Of course this new car buyers.

At what point does the older crowd start hurting the insurance rates versus helping?

* Young & Reckless = High Rates

* Middle Aged, level headed, family considerations, moderate risk taker = Medium Rates

* Golden Years Driver, considered mature, a bit of attitude, old enough to know better but, ignores that at times, shows off for younger drivers = Higher rates than Middle Aged but, less than Young & Reckless

* OLD Farts (cooters), no family considerations, don't give a sh*t what others think of their antics, water retention causes frequent right foot swelling and excessive speeds, tendency to flip off law enforcement = High Rates if any insurance company will insure them.

Driving is freedom and I fear eventually reaching the age and medical status of not being able to. I kind of like the idea though of being say 90 and driving a Hellcat. Can't see, have slow reactions, never hear the sirens behind me, nearly always under the effect of a majorly crotchety attitude and have low insurance rates. If I was a LEO pulling over a 90 year old in a Hellcat, I'm looking for every reason possible to let him be on his way without a citation. He is clearly cool AF.
Same goes for 90 year old granny, that might be even more cool.

Thing I like best bout bein an old cooter….my total insurance bill for my play toys.(cars..motorcycles)...is more than I made a year till I was 30...cooterville has its benefits ...lol

I know exactly what you mean. Been there too with insurance. Still paying a boatload for what I have. Now I have 4 vehicles but, all the bikes are gone.

Don't know about getting older and better insurance,,, I guess it's a bit better, but in Fl. Have a small sna fue and the state takes your license away do to physically not able to drive a car with 700 hp. Both times 400 pages from the hospital, physicals, mental stability test,,,, my brother is a PHD, 25 pages from my personnel care doc, and 6 months of do lee care driving. Failed the driving test 3 times in my 1.8 liter turbo, tuned, dual clutch Nissan. What a racket. The black H/C is not out after dark. One more,, license will be gone at the age of 144.
