I didn't even have any of my safety gear on besides my helmet. Because I didn't think there was any way I would dig into the nines tonight. Saw the first time slip and just went s@%t... to the changing room we went. Lol

I was planning to purposely slow it down and run Street Machine Eliminator/10.0 index ... thus my no skinnies and lower E content. I DID swap to the 2.50 and Race tune tonight though.. Could've gotten away with the Flex tune and MAYYYYBE the 2 85 for drag week for sure.
I crapped myself when fresh off the street it went 9.87 - obviously I'm going in the right direction with air pressure now. Consistency would help too.

It takes time to get it and yourself dialed in. The 10.0 index was super competitive. I saw a car today run a 10.000. Truly amazing.
There were a couple of Hellcat newbies there that I helped out.
A guy with a Durango who ran a 13.88 at Bristol. I went over and talked to him. We went through a few things and he ran a 12.0.
Then at Carolina we went over some other stuff and he ran a 11.88.
Today he ran a 11.79 with a 20-25 mph headwind. It started misting rain and we left. Hopefully he hit an even better number with a slightly higher stall speed.

The way I ran at Numidia Dragway on 9/1 I could've been extremely competitive. 10.1, 10.000 and 10.05 on basically 3 hot laps in a row....car has been dead consistent now with the chiller (although it *should* be colder) as long as the driver isn't a functional potato.
Depending on track I'll come up on the footbrake as high as the converter will allow...it's the transition to WOT that I consistently botch.
