Their MPH is off. Since you didn't run the right lane you can't compare. I run around 101 mph at the 1/8th and trap 125ish. Friday I ran 125 in the left and then ran 128 in the right, did it twice during the day. My first pass when the DA was the best it ran 127 in the left. It may have run 130 if I were in the right. Last year I ran into just the opposite at the same track. The left lane was 2 mph more then the right. My best Friday in 1260DA was 10.82@127. Hoping to get some negative DA before the year is done

Data log from one of the runs, 131MPH at the top end. So you're telling me the speed sensor on the car is wrong, the sensor at the track is wrong... I think not.

I'm looking at the facts based on your 1/8th mph speed and times. I run similar times and speeds as you but less MPH at the end. If you were picking up that much more from the 1/8th your times would be much faster

Now there is a possibility that track is giving you the real mph at the end where most don't. The mph used to start 66 feet before the finish line and end 66 feet after. The average would be the finish line. That is where the term "run it out the back door" came from. Now about 30 years ago they went away with the 66 feet after so your MPH now is actually measured 33 feet before the finish line. When this happened my then 14 second car lost 5 MPH on the time slip running the same time

I used to have Gtech timer back in the 90's and it was always a higher MPH then my time slip using it at the track since it was actual MPH not and average

It Is possible for a car that has more horsepower than another to have it come in more on the big end? The mph would be higher but should also have a lower ET?

Put together a quick video of the drive shaft testing. Learned a new trick in Resolve, how to create a typing/key effect. Liking my handy work with Davinci Resolve. Currenlty in potato vision till Youtube finishes the HD/4K version but enjoy anyway.

I also went back and looked at logs from MIR from 02 OCT to compare to 09 OCT, 125 MPH seems to be the norm for my 10.8x runs so I can't help but think that @vortecd was right, extremely sad, but there is a positive not about this. That means I just need to add some goodies to get past 131 MPH, two to make it true right?

Extremely good DA may make that much difference in your mph

It was 320 DA so it was pretty good, Humidity was about 60% otherwise I think it would have been a 10.7 easily. Humidity and these cars just don't mix.

I really like MIR! I would be happy to have a time slip that shows my car went 131 mph! (y)

Tried something new on my Q1 round for 10.50 index. Turned off traction control and came up on the brake hard and the pedal a little bit. Best 60’ ever and best E/T ever. Trying to stay competitive! Im #920

Yes and sadly I bounced out in round two of bracket racing and round 1 of 10.50 index. Got too excited and hit the throttle too hard when power braking and spun throug the tree. :( Videos coming soon.

Here are my bracket racing runs. It was a fun time. Very important lessons learned, always evaluate your last run and adjust your time. I forgot to and that might have tipped the scales in my favor. Also never ran a pro tree before so this was fun.

Or you could sand bag everyone by waving the 131 slips around. "Bring your stuff tough guy!" :)

That would be hilarious, totally wrong but would be funny at the time. What small mod would make me competitive in the 10.50 index? Tune? Suspension?

Better DA. I have seen the 3.09 help by some and some say they don't but an option. You could take the seats out, light weight battery and take everything out of the trunk. Do you have skinnies for the front? Gets real expensive for a tune if you are only looking for a couple of tenths but it would get you there and then some

ill have to wait for weather then. Was 10.75 with no seats. Kind of like it, no sub and trunk interior either. I think learning to launch better could get me a half tenth. We’ll see. Test n tune this friday!

If you already made it light as possible then you may have to get a tune. The good thing about being able to run faster then 10.50 is you can slow it down to run your 10.50. Also in warmer weather you should still be able to run the time. Problem is once you go faster, it won't end. Do they have a 10.0 class? If you are paying for a tune why not do a pulley change at the same time

So some new LIVE ACTION PACTION GET IN HURRRRRR! New setup this year, now that I'm no longer beholden to anyone (yes this means you Uncle Sam), I'm going to every track event I can get my hands on! The list of mods is as follows:
  • Hellraiser 2.7 Pulley
  • IDX 1050x Injectors
  • Kenne Bell BAP (about to yeet this bitch for a bigger set of pumps)
  • FI IC Spacers + Heater Blanket
  • Pinned Crank
  • S&M Drive Shaft Hoop
  • DSS 4" Drive Shaft
  • P4D OG differential Brace.
  • HHP Racing Springs
  • JLT Intake
  • JLT Catch Cans x2
  • RaceStar front skinnies wrapped in Sportsman S/R
  • ForgeStar D5 Beadlocks wrapped in Mickey Thompson ET Street R.
Today was the first day with the new pulley and I am working with OST Dyno on getting the tune dialed in. Mike has been 100% awesome to work with and even identified some trans troubles I may have to address soon. Currently on Rev3 of the tune and it is a baby tune. As insurance at the track I added 2 gallons of Sunoco 104 oxygenated (aka 260 gt plus). The car was a beast with what little timing was in the tune (still running 93 and I don't want to go boom.) which is around 9* maximum. Here are the times from today's run:

1618693078256.png

Right now as the car sits. I have a 10.50 index bracket car for sure. But there is plenty left in it and this is only the beginning. Unfortunately my go pro died after the first video. I have to buy a new go pro, think I cooked it in the heat last year and it never recovered lol. Also the most important part. That zero is no mistake.

546E291F-7023-47FA-BFF1-EA61224DEB5F.jpeg

So lets talk about trans issues... I don't know if the trans it hurt but in Street Mode at WOT, the transmission does not want to shift. I drop the trans into Sport (most agressive, fight me) and it shifts like a charm, I wonder if the line pressure is not enough or if there is something more nefarious going on, only time will tell, worst case scenario, I'll be getting one of those fancy WAR... transmissions.

It feels good to be back and I can't wait to go faster. Shout out to @ostmike for helping me not blow my car up!
