Buy your A8.
Access Enhanced Launch Mode
Enter your tire model, size from menu.
Enter road surface from menu: Street, track, prepped track, etc.
Computer knows temperature, other pertinent ambient conditions.
Now you're set.
Press Execute Button...wheel straight, gas and brake pedals to the floor..light on dash says "ready to go"
Release brake and hold on!
The car does the rest til you release gas.
You, the driver, are simply the on/off switch.
Computer knows best, no skill required...fun!
Hell, a capable computer scientist could probably make this an aftermarket mod.

Don't have a gal at this moment so I have to do sumtin with my hands. Shifter works well. Funny purchasing my vettes I got charged extra for straight shift the H/C got a deduct.

Ya know when I bought my '09 SRT The guy who sold it told me there was a waiting list for the stick. You could not get it in '08 with the original Challenger. Every body wanted The "big bad" 425HP hemi with a stick (Hellcat wasn't out yet). Now the pendulum has swung the other way. Such is life.

I'm just foolin with the crowd. My wife's HC is an A8 and I like it just fine. But when we go out (as long as the parking situation meets my standards), I pick my M6 every time.

Just to be clear, I do have the A8 in our DSRT, and while it's nice, it still doesn't give me that "Golden Earring - Radar Love" feeling while driving.

Yea, early prototypes of someone/something else doin the driving are kinda dull (ie the bus). I'm sure computers will be fastest any point A to B. I'm not sure it will be much more fun tho.

When I got the M6 in my 2012 Yellow Jacket. the main selling point besides just wanting one at the time,was to keep from having the Modulated displacement forced on me with the 392 automatic. The m6 was exempt.

More like it was more fun driving yourself. Hope autonomous driving doesn't take self driving away.

As long as it is big enough,, it could hit any where and they are going down. Back in WW2,, the big one of course. I hve talked to sum friends invited to the party and back then the ASP 45 auto was introduced. The shots were so hot that the bullet it self would penetrate the target and not a stoppage was had. So, they reintroduced the 22 cal to knock em down. What my war buddies told me, so,,, reintroducing a few calibers to the arsenals.
