I'm getting closer to 2's. this was on the street last night. spun until about 115, then same problem as Saturday at the track. oil gets pushed into the spark plug tube and it starts to break up. the cornerstone covers don't work with the Stnake stabilizers. they hit keeping the cover from sealing around the spark plug tube.

Reminiscing today. should have left it alone and been happy when it was doing this consistently with no headaches.

I’ve got a 8.20 bracket car now. So I think I’ll change everything 😜 C771DAB7-5D2A-44CA-B870-6C7194FB9134.jpeg

Man!! Those are nice. Is there any reason those can’t be installed with the baffled side down?

haha right!! Man I think once this round of upgrades is done I'm sticking with it this way and just going to enjoy the race season. should be where you're at on the bigger pulley so I'm not stressing the engine. I know it picked up 4 tenths on the Dragy from 100-150. haven't been able to get it on the track since though. getting close to solving the small issues so ill be ready when a track opens.

Not sure I would have to differ that question to someone whos tried. I don't see why not. as long as you have the room to clear.

The reason I ask. I can’t see why they wouldn’t but you never know until it’s done. F80337A7-8924-4AAC-ABA4-38DB6E1B7DD7.jpeg

man that's super clean! I need to find a way to clean my engine bay up like that. the whipple hoses, the breather hoses, and all the wiring looks like a cluttered mess beside the blower and above the valve covers.

First step in doing that is tuning them over so you can run your coils up and puts the breather hoses at the rear. Those new valve covers are too pretty to cover up with a bunch of wires and hoses. 83CC9A15-43BE-4B87-A134-F2FD9D1514EA.jpeg

The one picture is when we had the Holley Smart Coils that caused all the problems. Gave up on those and changed to the MSD’s. Those are simply stock coil copies that are rated at higher voltage. They work good with no issues. Plus they’re red! 😎

haha the stock ones had issues with how the breathers are setup. I was in the process of modifying them, but went down a rabbit hole with cornerstone and now these Mantons should solve the issue. if the stock ones didn't hold oil in them and push it into the breather tank they would have never been replaced.

Would have much rather invested in a set of Mencer coil overs.

between the cage, and other safety equipment needed to race this season, I'm about tapped out. so it will be another year on the stock suspension.

We have those on the other two shop race cars. I have the less expensive Strange Engineering coilovers on the front and drag shocks with Hyperco springs at the rear. I haven’t been convinced that the Mencers are going to do anything more for me than what I have now offers. The ones I have are 20 point adjustable (10 up and 10 down). I’m getting ready to modify my rear by changing to a wishbone center setup instead of the panhard bar. My goal is to convert the car to a small tire class to go with the turbos. Going to end up looking something like this…. 396BDD46-AB1F-400D-99FF-594E790796FC.jpeg

I'm still on the stock IRS rear suspension setup. I believe others have seen some pretty big improvements with the Mencers and QA1 mod coil overs. there is really nothing modified on my car just stock replacement parts.
