2018 WB HC M6. Minor mods nothing too crazy. Installed the 555rII's today size 315. Was about 68° in Chicago today and did something I've never done before! Released the clutch easy and foot to the floor. Tires spun for maybe 2 seconds and gone! With the Summer Pirelli's would have been sideways at half throttle! This tires are nothing short of GAME CHANGER!!
How do they compare to PS4S?

FR rims arrived today, not the best color match. They are more greenish then bronze, not as noticeable in a vertical position but side by side they are. I think I’ll wait on a set of 11” rims that are in the works arrive and mount the 315’s on them and put these rims in the attic for now. Tough to wait though but it’s said good things come to those that wait 🤞

That sucks your having such a headache color matching these rims. Mine are a little off too, but once on they’re really not that noticeable (on mine). I said F it and roll with it for now, but totally understand where your coming from. I’m sure we can all see the color difference from these pics but I don’t think the normal every day joe would notice

My brass monkey FR are very close. Got mine through Discount Tire if that happens to matter.

Really surprised to not see more reviews on these yet. I will be ordering some soon. I think I have subconsciously gotten a little heavy on the go pedal lately. Must be trying to give myself an excuse to spend money.

I have the 315's and love them so far. Finally can get some traction from a dig..I had the crappy stock Pirelli's and these are light years ahead for hook 20200519_201223.jpg 20200519_201005.jpg ..

After measuring the back space on my current setup with the Nitto 315 NTO5R and it matching exactly the FR rims I just got I decided to mount these 555R2’s on them, the 11” ones coming have 1/4” more backspace so they will wait for another set of tires in the future. At the shop now getting them mounted so should have some run data on them today or tomorrow depending on the weather, off on showers here today but sunny 75 predicted for tomorrow :)

My older FR’s color match perfectly to the 16 OEM rims, can’t tell one from the other even side by side. According to FR their newer and current Brass Monkey replicas color changed a bit to more match the newer Brass Monkey color? So hence the difference now I assume. The 11” ones I’m getting are older ones that should color match better to the 16 rims, they will work one way or another, 12 ft apart it’s hard to tell even with these FR’s so all will be good I’m sure. I’m more interested in the hook then the look :)

Guys, I agree with Beast707... These RII's are a game changer. After having them on the car for a few weeks now, i can tell you I actually wondered if my car was down on power because I am getting virtually no tire spin. Anything above 20 MPH results in a near dead hook on my Redeye. You do still want to roll into the throttle from a dig, but for the street, these tires are incredible.

Honestly no idea I went from Summer Pirellis to these. The Nitto is a DR and PS4S is a summer tire.

Ok, mounted and balanced, impressed totally with the balance, one took .75 oz and the other only .5 oz, nice having only 2 small squares of weights to look at, their black and can’t even see them. They fit same as a 315 NTO5R, I have about 2mm of clearance to the notorious front inner fender rib but no rub. Did 3 street 1/4 runs with the 315 555R2’s. First one wasn’t impressed, 28 psi cold turned into 30-31 spun in first and second, low 4 sec 0-60, but they only had 10 miles on them too, evidence of nubbie’s still in the centers and bigger as they went out to the edges. Second run aired down to 28 hot, spun and hopped a bit in first, caught better in second no hop, was back to 29-30 after the run. Aired down to 27 hot, first spun and started a bit of hop but second hooked hard and resulted in a 3.6 0-60 and .97G’s 1.58 seconds in, 60’ still 2.10, got to get first to put it to the ground better, was hoping for under 2 sec 60’. Cold tire pressure now after sitting 5-6 hours in the garage now 25 psi. Looking at the tire faces nubbies are all but gone in the center 6” and evidence of them get bigger as they go out to the edges and the outer 3/4” both inside and out untouched looking, look like they need to go lower yet even air wise and/or could use a wider rim. My first day impression after 3 runs? I think they may be better then the 05R, and I’ll be trying another set on the 11” rims sometime in June. I’ll be removing them and putting the NT05R’s back on to preserve tire geometry for a good alignment as now it’s on to installing the BMR Cradle and Diff lock out kit, installing the Speedlogix rear control arms, and getting a +.5 camber 0 toe rear alignment and see if I can get under 2 second 60 ft’s on the street which should then net consistent 3.2-3.4 0-60 street pulls. So far their a 👍
Here’s some data from runs 2 and 3

This great info . Theses may be my next set of tires . The suspension work will help greatly . I had to do a spontaneous WOT today due to another butt head driver and my car didn't break the tires loose at 60 mph like last year and all I did was the rear alignment with the 0.5+ camber .

Sounds like alignment made a pretty good difference? What suspension mods did you do to get the camber where you wanted?

Here’s the tire faces, see nubbies all but gone in the center ribs but as you get closer to the edges the nubbies get bigger, this is at 28 lbs hot, and like this on the inside portion as well, pretty mirrored image that side, it seems to be planted evenly just not squatting on the whole tire. 25 psi cold at the moment, may drop another lb but worry about wheel hopping when there cold. I’m going to do suspension work before abusing them anymore so I can see what’s left of the nubbies do.

Definitely do the rear suspension mods . It should take a day to get everything thing in . And don't for get to torque everything with the weight on the suspension lol .
