Yes the adaptor is definitely cast steel . I'm going to do some research now . I want to stay away from drive shafts with CV joints . I'm not a fan of them .

That sucks. But at least u had no vibration issues till failure. How many runs u figure u got out of it before failure?

It is 2:00am and my son Kyle and I just got home( my son's first time at the track) . I have to give a huge shout out and thank you to MarkP! He put my car in his trailer and my son and I drove home in his car! Now poor Markp has an hour drive back to his place after dropping me off. Dude I owe you big time !

I also want to say thanks to moparjim, oilburner, Frenchcat, MarkP, my son Kyle, and some other people I don't know for helping me get my car off the track and on to the trailer .

I also want to thank my son Kyle for coming with me and taking pictures and videos ( he got the daylight under the tires pic)


P.S MarkP has something in the works to show our track day !

I have about 100 drag strip passes and 20,000 street miles on the drive shaft .

I think that's pretty respectable for a car with that weight and power driven that hard. If it was like 10 runs and no street miles I'd say junk or defective part. If Motorhead's link cures the problem that would be awesome.

I would check them out. Make sure they would be ok with the length of your driveshaft. They look like the flanges that oilburner and I have on our CCI driveshaft.

I run lots of Sonnax parts in my other heavy fast cars with confidence - it is what the quality US driveshaft shops throw on their products.

Glad to hear you made it home with all that support. Well done all around fellas!

It was great to finally meet you . Yes this is the picture of me car getting day light under the front tires ( you will have to zoom in lol) unfortunately I won't be going to Atco because I will not have my car ready in time and I don't rush at this . It's a very critical part and I'm going research to get the proper part so I don't have to worry about it again . Yes ALL my runs were on pump gas ( petro can 94) . The napierville gang is growing!

We have a solution for your DS issue as well using the Sonnax parts. Shoot Micah or me an email. We will have these new driveshafts on our website shortly. They generally ship the same week we order them. Sometimes the next day.

Hpindy's car has 9.5s in it 100%. The track prep this day was not what it usually is. There was a 4x4 pickup truck event that day with guys running aggressive all terrain tires ruining the track. His car is damn fast. Has anyone gone faster on pump gas? I think Hpindy is the fastest Hellcat on pump gas. One word.....BADASS!!!
