If anyone wants some low mileage stock pads let me know!
haha
They are actually good to keep for track day or spirited driving day IMO

IIRC, they do offer track day pads, as well.

Already bought the towing grade Powerstops, for my Grand Cherokee. Have to install those, before camping ramps up, this year.

I don't think I made it 2 weeks on the Daytona and had to change the pads. I had never seen so much brakes dust come off of the wheels and knew right then I was not going to deal with that. The Hellcat had 7k on it when I bought it and they were changed right away to Z26s

Post up please when you install those and break them in, I've been eyeballing them as an upgrade to the Durango R/T brakes which seem a bit lame to me.
Could be I'm just spoiled by the brakes on the Cat tho ;)

Don’t want to sound like an idiot but what does every do to “properly” bed the Z26 pads? I’ve never used them do I’m curious as to what the process is that works every time

I pretty much follow the pad mfg. instructions, which are all similar (a series of more aggressive start/hit a speed/ and rapid stops, and that has worked for me, i.e., you should definitely smell something at minimum, or smell and see a tad of heat smoke coming off the rotors after the procedure. But I have read others say they do a few more reps than that and really get them smoking hot. In either case, you need to try and do the cooldown too as recommended...driving with no brake use for 5-10 minutes, which can be a challenge depending on where you are located. I devised a route near my neighborhood that works pretty good if I get lucky at one stoplight, and then end with a freeway jaunt.

My input on bedding Z26s

(Standard Internet Liability Disclaimer)

Bed them to the limits of safety, approaching fade, of either pad and/or fluid (do not exceed).

Completely cool by driving, only stopping lightly and as required to be safe/legal. Back country roads help.

Repeat...

I was thinking about this a month or so back when I went to the Radford SRT class…

They made a point, repeatedly, of saying that the cars we were driving were identical to the ones with owned with several notable exceptions…

They said they used different brake pads, without specifying or otherwise endorsing which ones, in addition to a brake fluid with a higher boiling/performance rating temperature. Those two things and tires, basically…

Checking their website, they’re corporate partners with Powerstop. I’m no math-magician now as they say, but I can put 2 and 2 together…

yea, I asked during my class also (Bondurant, 2017), and same thing - bone stock except my car had Goodyear F1s, and I believe Power Stop track day pads

On my 2021 Scat Pack, I changed mine out to Z26's at twelve miles. These are the 6-piston versions. I've had SRT's before and decided a long time ago I couldn't live with the rotor wear and the dust. For street use, I'll never go back to stock pads.

If anyone wants them, PM me.

Note, these would be the newer and slightly larger pads paired to the 400mm diameter rotors that those of us with 2019 and older models can use.

I'm sorry guys, I know this has dragged out forever. : (

It's tough working a multi-million dollar problem on $100ks budget, but we're making progress.

This was more street testing from Friday. (Note the heavy dust)

I'm sure it's not easy going from ground zero to full production and very expensive.
You're still my hero @BULL. I wish the best for you for all your hard work. One day you'll get all your money back and then some. Looking forward to that day.
