I know some people have more money than they know what to do with and some have the best ever financial sense but that is not everyone...just sayin!

I financed my SS with a decent DP and EP and I know it's a toy but I have to ability to cover the extra. I pay approx $22k off the principle each year (not my actual payment) to get the balance paid off sooner. I also pay all my loans weekly, automatically through my CU which is so much easier and less worrisome.

I don't have an issue financing a toy as long as it doesn't affect your responsibilities and needs. Wife and I are getting ready for our 3rd vacation trip in 6 months so I think we're good with making a loan payment on a toy.

Of course just my .02 and I know some will disagree and think I'm a moron and maybe I am but I'm happy and don't care.

Hey, we used to lease everything because it was a direct expense.

Originally leased the Charger. I wanted 15K miles a year since it was going to be a daily. They kept telling me that Chrysler won't lease for that many miles but they did.

Yes they do, I leased all my wife's vehicle for that reason. She gets a new car every couple years and I don't have to mess with hers. I can't because I drive over 20,000+++ miles year just to get to work and home. I buy my vehicles and keep them until I just can't keep them going anymore! I just rebuilt the top end of my 2013 Ram 5.7l and did some cam, oiling, tuning and fuel, exhaust upgrades on it at 186,750 last fall and I am now at 203,800 this week, also did all new suspension and brake upgrades while I was at it. I have a bit of rust on the rear wheel opening so I found a new take off bed that is being painted to replace it as I don't want any rust on it, which is hard to keep up with in NW Ohio. Hope to get at least another 10 years out of it, minimum!

They said they wouldn't lease a hellcat for 15K a year mileage. Never had any question before that.

Which bank covers NADA plus 100k on their auto loans? The D170 is not special to a lender, not at all, it’s actually more risk than a Carolla.

I suppose there may be exceptions, but there would need to be tomfoolery at play.

I don't know of any bank that would cover an ADM unless it's covered by other collateral??
