Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the HP Tuners Tune Delivery Network. This has been something I've been waiting to see from them since I used EZ Lynk on diesel trucks which had similar features to this.
This means the end user doesn't need a laptop and can change tunes from their phone. Also you can datalog from your phone or datalog. You just need a laptop to view.
I know bluetooth makes us all nervous when writing. But the way it works is it sends a package to the device and then it writes. So the write is happening locally and not wirelessly.
Unfortunately, you may need the + version for this to work. The playstore app says mpvi2 but the video said mpvi2+.

I believe this is also a way for tuners to tune cars without the owner seeing the tuning changes.

The RTD+ is just that.
Using this app and the mpvi2+ you can still view tunes. The RTD+ doesn't allow you to view I believe.

I briefly looked at it and it looks like you use the RTD OBD2 module in the car with the app . The Tuner sends you a tune and you use your phone to sent the tune to the car via the RTD OBD2 module. No laptop required and no way to see the tune .

Correct but the app also works with the newest MPVI device. Which is MPVI2+. The MPVI2+ has the same access we are all use to having. Plus the addition of the app. So a tuner could send the tune through the app and you could still use the MPVI2+ to view it the same way people bypass the "remote tune lock" tuners are currently using.

Good to know .
I guess for the majority of people who never look at a tune and only want their car to work this is great .

99% of people it will take away the complication of trying to use hp tuners. Just hit a few buttons on the phone and good to go.
Look up ez lynk for the diesel trucks. Pretty much what this is now. EZ Lynk is/was awesome. I tuned one truck with it about 3 years ago.

I'm new to this, I don't data log or need to change my tune but I saw this new bluetooth MPVl2+ on their web site, so this new MPVl2+ is able to bluetooth with my phone to data log with out the need of a laptop in the car ?

Since the mpvi2 hp tuners has had a Bluetooth feature but it was only for data logging to your laptop without a cable.
this will allow you to save the datalog but will still need a laptop to review.

OK so still will need laptop at the track to review while there.
This will not show datalog on the phone ?

Correct. The laptop just wouldn’t have to be in the car during the pass.

Sounds good but I wish it would connect to the phone to see data logs where you wouldn't need a laptop.

You cannot edit a tune on your phone but if you have 3 different tunes saved you could write one of those.
Or your tuner can upload a new tune to the app for you and you can write that to your car.

The mpvi2+ is compatible.
I will say that may explain why I see no one advertising the rtd+
A few mustang shops like PBDYNO are the only ones I’m aware of who have been using it.
