That fabricated rear end is super light. Light in that you can just pick it up. Another really big example is the axles. Those gun drilled Strange units are 40 spline (huge) and hollow like a gun barrel. They are not only unbreakable but so light you can twirl one like a baton. It’s going to be soft and cushy. Those coils come in different spring weights. That is one of the tuning options and they can be changed in a matter of minutes. The factory DragPaks come with a 125 lb spring. Those are too light for our 4000+ cars so we went up to a 175 and that feels good. The spring part of the suspension stays light. The shocks are adjustable and are set accordingly. The 4-link has anti-squat built in, so even with the light springs, it’s not going to come down on the tire. Wheelie bars will be a part of the suspension tuning with this setup.

Interesting. Obviously I have never dealt with the dragpak stuff but while not quite the same the demon suspension is pretty comfy on street driving and the active suspension does somewhat offer antisquat when set in drag mode. Not apples to apples but similar principals .

Yeah. The mothership is under control with the shocks on the Demon. We’re back to old school with a no brains suspension where the 4-link provides a mechanical lifting action that tries to lift the car. The resulting opposite reaction of that is to drive the tires into the track resulting in that illusive thing called traction.

Yes sir I agree . I used the old school mopar super stock springs in all my older cars . They would lift the rear of the car using the tires as "the push point" helping traction .

I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your car .

Some more pics just for fun.... Stinky is scheduled to go under the knife in December for the same setup, so I’m sharing this stuff we’ve been doing on Joes car. I wanted to do this since day one with my build but didn’t have any idea of where to start to get it done cost effectively and also know that it would get done right. I got my new rear wheels with the necessary 4” back space to work with the kit so I put them on Joes to check the fit. Perfect! And remember..... all my current rear end goodies are going to be for sale after the first of the year!!! Okay!..... first a trip today to Phoenix to sprinkle some stinky sauce on her and it’s off to old Famoso Bakersfield to run the west coast Hellcat shootout on Saturday. Projected weather is for a sunny 63/32 and a sticky track. After the race it’s off to Calimesa, Calif to install the 4-link.

Yep. DA should be 500’ or so. Maybe less. Stinky has never run in that kind of air so who knows. Computer says 8.7 at SL based on previous time/conditions. Fast HC’s all over the West been in the shops getting ready to take it to me. Lots of nitrous from what I’m hearing.
