I don't think they simplified the trans brake. Not sure exactly what makes you think that?
Timmy said something to that effect in his speech.

Transbrake 2.0
Now you can go WOT without having to feather it.

I'd find the spot where he said if i wasn't so pissed off about this situation.

Some level of NRE went in there, but you're correct, production costs were likely negligibly different, a minor amount more for increased volume in the casting., but effectively the same components, maybe upgraded bearings?
But that work was done when they did the Hellephant crate.
For whatever reason, they killed the 7.0L program and just launched a crate.

Dodge has been sitting on this blower for awhile now.

Base price over here out the door is 160K
We can t afford a markup
&
Its not easy trying to get 1 of 300 trust me
Not easy by any means but easier.

My train of thought was with the way taxes and things work in Canada the markup would be mitigated for one, also with the long winters one would assume these kind of cars don't garner as much fanfare as they do here in the US.

For the size of canada 300 seems like an awful lot, even 3000 in the us is not what I would consider super limited.

I come to the conclusion that there's gotta be some sort of collusion among these dealers as well.

That's what I thought, as well. However, when I watched it again, he said after the green you can WOT.

They say they simplified the trans brake. So they took a feature that is automatically enabled any time in Drag Mode and now you have to hit a hard switch on the bank. Correct me if I am wrong, but this makes it harder to use. The Trans Brake switch takes the place of the HO button. Sheesh.....

I received a call from someone today looking for a Demon 170
The dealer he called told him
Owner gets #1
General manager gets #2
#3 if they get it based on the Demon allocations will go to highest bidder

Same BS both sides of the pond

3300 dealers are going to own cars
Then what ?

Same.

I got fucked over pretty good last week.
I have no intention of ever dealing with that again.

if I can find the purple super bee under sticker, i'm interested. But I doubt it. And every dealer I called still have theirs sitting. Going to be hard to sell a 392 car for the same price as a Hellcat.
That’s ultimately what pushed my into buying my 1320 challenger. I tried to buy the superbee from multiple dealers and I couldn’t even find msrp. Wasn’t going to pay 70k for a 392 car. Ended up finding a phenomenal deal on my challenger.

When they all want 100k over or bidding at 100k over, there is collusion.
Huntington Beach wanted 2x MSRP in 2018 and they are sitting on 16 of them out of 20 they initially got.

If dealers want to keep them, thats fine. But they don't make money by keeping them. Unless they plan to sell in 25 years for a cool million or so. But would they even be alive?
I don't like how this was handled and again Dodge makes a bad ass car that only 100 or so will actually use as intended. The rest will stroke their dicks over it being "banned" and "collector" etc.

Remember a few of years ago when Dodge was talking about their future and this car was under the cover? They were starting to talk electric but by the front of this car it is not electric. What is this?

I went to Huntington Beach back in 2017. They told me the same crap. I told the Sales Manager he was out of his mind. I believe they finally sold the last 7 of their 22 Demons last year.

No way 100 of these get raced. I doubt 15 do; because of the bullshit ADM. The ones
(including myself) who ran their 2018 Demons at the track more than likely got them at MSRP or very close to it. Not this time. What a joke!!

The sleeze has pushed me out of the ring.
I gotta good one
GM told me car was mine night of the reveal.
Next day, owner inserts himself into the conversation that it is to be sold to highest bidder.
Apparently pro athletes are bidding on it and its 240k right now and not sold.

The wife and myself are well off in life. But I can't play this game.
Maybe I can see if my local dealer could back door one in for me like he did a Durango HC.

Unless money literally means nothing to you and this is going in your collection for life, there's no way I'm spending more than 200k on a demon. There are so many better cars in the 250,300,350 range that will be more more fun and cooler to look at than a fkn demon.

Line up a twin turbo huracan at 300k vs a demon and see who wins race after race.

Also gotta figure this is dodge last hurrah, dealers see this as a payday because once they go electric dodge is most likely on the way out and a tax writeoff for the jeep/ram portion of the dealership.

Yeah it's a way to make profit for themselves too, if a gm or owner can make 100k for themselves versus the dealer who do you think is gonna take the profit lol.

Dodge should not use allocations to build a vehicle for any direct dealer employee/owner or their immediate family members, this whole situation is only sh*t you see with dodge dealers.

Professional athlete apparently just said he will outbid anyone for the one car that was mine.
Shits different this time around.

2017, I was finding allocations at MSRP to 5k over for a good month after order banks opened.
Then it was 10-20k through early August.
Finally, dealers calling me up asking if still interested at 30-50k over the last day in September before they just did a dealer stock order.

I was prepared to go to 25 maybe even 30 over this time thinking that it would repeat in the 2017. Nope.
Every dealer come Tuesday afternoon was spouting 75-100k or more.

This is where Dodge just says "if you want one, you'll get one."
I'd scrap all Challenger builds just to meet demand of this car.

And then the demon owners would start a ridiculous lawsuit like the durango owners.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 can you imagine agreeing to pay 100k over and then all of a sudden all superstock/redeye orders being converted to demon 170s.

Man that would be hilarious.
