To get back on track... opting out only serves to make you feel better. Collecting and selling and collecting and selling your data is too lucrative, for everyone involved.
They don't tell your car not to collect the data.
They don't tell your car not to send the data.
It's still being recorded. Once it reaches capacity, I'm sure it loops and overwrites old data, if it can't call out. My cell has been blocked, for years. Haven had any U codes pop up, because the black box is full.
I made the cellcomm blocker, because I was tired of the constant OTA failed updates (some of which will never be fixed, as they've ignored them up until this point).
I made the satcomm blocker as an exercise in off grid performance of the vehicle. I do not use my onboard nav, so why not?
Understand that not opting in, or opting out STILL leaves the door wide open, for them to collect any data they wish to... and it's not just Stellantis.
