Here is a pic I took of trash in the bottom of the pump , I’ll most likely have to pull the tank and clean it out View attachment 3501

Could any of that trash gotten past the pump to injectors or as mentioned fuel pressure sensor ?

I would imagine its possible but that screen (filter ) at the pump is very fine and definitely filters very well I would say microns by the look of the filter

so in your pic how is the trash getting in the bottom of the pump ?... is that b4 filter or after ? …. I've never had a chance to look at a fuel pump so not familiar with it.

that is before the filter is attached to the pump right above the bottom the actual pump snaps into it that

That's messed up if you have that much trash in gas tank, it mite be needed to clean out some how ?

I agree I’m waiting on that new fuel line to come in I’ll probably take the car to the shop this weekend pump all the gas out and clean it out that or I’ll have to pull the pump on racedays and confirm it’s clean, or just keep checking it til it stops getting trash in it

when you pull pump out is there enough of a opening to look in the tank to see if there's trash ? ….with flash light & mirror ?

I looked and it doesn’t look dirty but you can only see so much it still had over a half tank of gas in it and that race gas is blue so maybe to hard to say for sure but it could be coming from the passenger side because there’s a rubber hose that feeds fuel back on top of the pump which I believe is a siphon from the passenger side tank and the dealer had it apart two times because the secondary sending unit kept throwing a fault they fixed it once and it went about 600 miles and then they had to do it again and the second time they even said they put a new pump in as well they had it about two weeks both times

I found the 10% is good for 2 psi in the warm weather and sometimes 3 psi in the cold weather

Besides it would be a nice upgrade and I’ll finally pin the crank mines still not pinned but I marked it and I check it before I race and it has never moved
