No such luck, but day did 1 time fer,,,,, no c harge. Impound da HC and kick me out of jail. Den I said, how am I supposed 2 get home? Reply, don't know don't care. Ware is my HC? It got inpounded. So ware da hell is it? Don't know, don't care. Taxi home and 2 weeks 2 find da HC wit $650 storage fee zer. Now day are lukin fer me at home and NOW at da ALF ster. I have bean rehabing at da ALF to get away frum dem and utters. Day have a woopen 18 square miles 2 pole eese wit Penis Co pole eece dept 1 mile away. Dae hate each utter, ok. Butt do snot place da rest ov us in da crap. Taiken out on wa. Now ass of 2 weeks ago, I got my guns back, 1 ear late court ordered, ammo is legal now. Day have stepped upster lukin fer Hickster. Dem and da Florida Beauroo of Infestigation. States FBI. Shit heads. What have I dun, nuttin, what day want, my ass, car, guns, car. I have a guud lawger dats keeps me out of jail fer nuttin I have dun. Gud luck. Back 2 Tenn. and a cave.

Received the vid today, this was 2nd day, 1mi run to 176. Notice the mirage; you can only see the asphalt for about 300y then it disappears into the shimmering reflective mirage.

Hick would put any ciphering coded format to shame. But if you need help with his posts you can enter his structured text into an online internet Enigma machine simulator. Tip for day! A one quart mason jar of moonshine expedites and enhances results. Daily codes for rotor settings are a prerequisite. Any wrong entry will throw a PCM code and void the encryption negating warranty of the Enigma machine and indicate tampering of PCM. Support tools can be found in form of OBD2 compliant interface hand held devices. Original source references are compliments of Bletchley Park England and HCO founding members. In an airplane when you double the airspeed, you quadruple the drag. The same applies to cars. Seems like I recall reading that our cars could do nearly 400mph if they were in a vacuum void of any aerodynamic drag.

If you can eliminate rolling resistance also, it would be more like the speed of light, assuming you are geared properly and have the time, fuel, O2 and remaining life span to accelerate that long! ;)

Any other tips from @2ndAmend or @BULL? I'm likely doing the No Fly Zone in Gila Bend, AZ this October. Standing 1/2 mile side by side...

Speaking of tires should I ditch my street drag radials and put the stockers back on? And as far as PSI goes what should they be "cold", considering that ambient air that time of year can be 100?

I've LSR'd @ Bonneville and the Maxton Mile with a motorcycle and it's a whole different experience than 1/4-mile drag racing, that's for sure! Since it'll be my first time doing so with the Hellcat I'm really looking forward to it, I'm thinking I should be good for 150-ish MPH. I heard the runway in Gila Bend is pretty rugged (like Maxton) and the run off requires getting on the brakes HARD AF after the traps, so I'll likely take it easy-ish the first pass. It's side by side there too and getting sandblasted by faster cars (and there will be plenty of them there) is par for the course, so I'll need to tape up...

Things I did that seemed to help:
  • Lighter wheels/tires/rotors
  • Tire pressure, maintained at 2-3 psi under sidewall max, checked each run (Michelin PS4S - 275s)
  • (Wider tires have notably higher Cd and rolling resistance)
  • Rear differential ratio (3.90 vs 3.70)
  • Tucked up exhaust to belly
  • Legmaker intake
  • 110ish octane fuel (even on a stock tune)
  • Mopar "Blue" springs - 5/8" actual drop
Things that oddly did not help
  • Taping hood seems
  • Removing windshield wipers
  • Taping windshield
  • Taping/blocking off grill area (Nascar style - I have an ugly pic as proof)
  • Gritting teeth and screaming at car "Go baby, go!"
Regarding "hard" vs "soft" launches... They do help, but only if you're going for a "hero" run.

Something unique to the Colorado Mile was you had nearly unlimited runs available to you, in three years running it, my car had about 100 passes. It's strange to me when I hear that people are lucky to get 3 passes in a day.

But for me, that meant you could actually just go make a "fun" run, or even just test different shift techniques and not feel as though you were giving up a significant portion of your event to testing.

Now, with that said, that first run of the day was your best opportunity for PBs because of ambient heat, engine heat and 8500+ ft DAs.

Guud fur youz. You'd at 85 mph. Snot at 140 bee thanken. I neva thought back in da 70s runen 140 plus wit da tares, 2 ply, dat dee unbelievable wood happen, oops. Till it didster. Right frunt. It tuuck 2 of us 2 get er unda cunt troll befoe flippen at 85 miles purr idiot. I had numerus vettes and wen I got ovah 140, all I thought waz a tar blowen. 10 ears ago a dude waz cummin across da Skyway Bridge in a vette. Duuen in asscess of 150, day say, tar blew. Da cah didn't hit a nutter, bee in at 3am, and flipped, came apart, cage didn't wurk, and da guy died rite den. Da cah just deecentegrated. They showed watt waz left of da car on TV and nutten waz left. Tires?? Scary.
