I'm sorry, I don't want this thread to go in an unintended direction. I just wanted to express the reason why I will never part with my hellcat (37,000mi. 9.75 et.) Both of my boys helped me get this car to where it is.

I have (once again) been considering selling the M6. As I get older, it becomes more difficult to keep up with the chores. Maintaining the 2 HC's and keeping them clean (I have a 1/2mi unpaved driveway that gets dusty in dry weather) is making me think about selling. That and everyone is crazy on the roads today! Between people tailgating when I am 10 over, and later someone in front of me doing 5 under (30 in a 35 zone!!!), people pulling out in front of me, playing chicken at merges, JEEEZZZEEES! I almost don't want to take it out anymore!

Today, coming home from the gun club, there is a severe left turn, like a 300deg turn (130deg to the left). It is a 30 zone. I creep out carefully as usual, can't see anyone coming from either direction, then pull out to make the left turn, I have done this 1000 times in the last 25 years! Soon as I pull out, a white Cherokee comes blasting from the left waaay over the 30, I get into my lane, she never slows, then blasts her horn at me!!!! WTF is wrong with people these days?!?!?! Are they angry about the election?!?!?!

I'm really getting sick of this crap!!! I often wish I kept my 03 Silverado! No one f'ked with me when I drove that!!!!

This has been my all time favorite car platform for a number of reasons. I've really been enjoying the Demon 170 but enjoy the community of these cars a lot and that does seem to be fading a bit. I used to run a pretty large event each year and it just got to be a headache. Started as a small forum members get together which was awesome. Did it for 14 years.

I plan to keep mine for a long while, but time sure does fly. I bought my first one in February of 2009 and can't believe how fast time has gone by. That one started it all and was the first car I ever went down the drag strip in. I sold it for the Hellcat in 2017 and it's not running around Germany somewhere with it's built and supercharged 6.0L stroker still going strong. New owner pings me on Instagram from time to time.

You didn't derail it...It's the human side of the emotional attachment between you ...and your car :);)

It's hard for me to believe that it will be 9 yrs.since I purchased my first HC...(which I still own)...I've been a member here over 5 yrs...(again hard to believe)..I've seen members come and go..and guys have sold off their cats for a number of reasons...Now that production has ceased..and there will be no more SRT's to speak of...and members here have squeezed just about every ounce of performance out of these amazing cars....what happens now..how long will your HC hold it's alure before you decide to move on...how many will keep them for an extended period...or forever...could it ever be possible to become bored with these fantastic cars....I know my plan...what about the rest of the faithful on here
We have been very lucky, three Hellcats, '15, '17 and '22 Redeye. I plan to keep the Redeye at least eight years, as I have the extended warranty. The repair/maintenance will be a consideration, in the future. The SC/Rambler is family, never to be sold. We went to car shows/cruise-ins/parades, when the kids could barely walk, in the Hurst SC/Rambler. There is a special place in our hearts for the SC/Rambler. I plan on driving the Redeye and Hurst SC/Rambler, as long, as safely possible. My son and twin grandsons are thrilled with our muscle cars. Eventually, my son and grandsons will know, first hand, the thrill of the Redeye (modern muscle) and the raw power of the SC/Rambler (old school muscle). The legacy will live on...

Keeping mine for the foreseeable future. She's solid, checks all the boxes, and a lot of great memories. But I'm not gonna lie, my eyes wander from time to time looking for a newer model. 23hcs or slightly used redeyes etc. I just can't seem to justify the prices added to the fact that I'll have to immediately start adding (A LOT OF) things to get it to where mine is now lol. Also, worry that a new one may have some issue that could drive me nuts. It would be like karma saying, 'you knew you shouldn't have got rid of that perfectly good 15 you had dummy!'

A road rage incident. He was shot.
I remember, when "Boduke" posted a RIP for Cfuels at the other place. They had a lot of fun, posting up about them racing each other at the track.. The reminder of this is still sad news. :(
My condolences to you, and your family.

As long as I can hang onto my drivers license, the 'Cat stays.

I've had many cars I really, really liked, but the Challenger is special in several ways.
Just think, if it had 4 doors it would be twice as special:cool:

I was at Carlisle 2014 when the announcement was made that Dodge was building a 707HP Challenger. I thought, "yeah, right, like I'll ever be able to own one". Exactly 4 years later I found a used 2016 B5 blue HC M6 with only 878 miles on it in TN. I called the guy and realized quickly that I was talking to someone who YOU would want to buy a car from. EXTREMELY particular with his possessions. I bought it n 2018 and have enjoyed every driving moment. I baby it bigtime. I'll be honest, I don't know what I have. I've never experienced what my car is really capable of doing. Afraid of hurting it. Just being honest.

Anyway, I have no plans to sell it. It's mint inside and out and it's an absolutely beautiful car. No more V8 ICE. I have to keep it.
