I don’t believe it has a battery. But I have spent about 5 minutes with it. It is not at my house right now because I don’t have space for it right now
You have an electrical system, right?

I am considering doing this. But have not done it. I would think if it could trickle charge from the truck would be the best way.
Yes, the positive in the regular trailer wiring will basically trickle charge it, so my battery would most likely be fully charged (if it wasn't already) since most trips tend to be 300 miles or better.

But, in my case the ramp will probably be steeper, and the weight of the vehicle could be up to 16,000 lbs., plus it'd be a longer pull. That's why I have some doubts about a single battery doing the job without any help.

I'm running a line directly from the truck, I have to wire it in still but these are the heavy duty connections from the trailer side.

Tested winch, rock solid. Getting the front to rear charging kit as the flat four, won’t give it enough angry pixies. Bus bar for battery already in place.

The following connector goes from the front of the trailer to battery tray.

From what I can tell this was a cannibalized 1500 amp jumper cable set. They run about 60 on ebay. Theory is undo the nuts on the clamps and attach to truck battery up front. Would run it along the left frame rail and route to the hitch from there leave some extra feet to cross over, when done i would fold the cable and store in the underside. The wireless remote is nice!
then buy one of these and just change the clamp end to battery terminal ends

Yep, that's the kind of cables I intend to use. Thankfully I already have all this stuff, so it's just a matter of laying everything out correctly.

Do you have the connectors?

I was thinking of just buying these and then getting cable elsewhere but it seems the path of least resistance is just cannabilizing a set of quick disconnect heavy duty jumper cables.

Yes, I have a couple of complete sets.

Still haven't decided if I'll use clamps for the tow vehicle end or connectors. Nicest would obviously be connectors in both ends, but not expecting to need the boost for the trailer battery very often....

Time will tell what I end up doing. If I left both batteries in the trailer I wouldn't even worry much about it, but I'd like to get rid of one of them.

No pun about the least resistance intended, right?

Haha I made an unintentially funny. Angry pixies gonna do what angry pixies do, I have a set of bus bars, just trying to figure out how I want to orient them. For the trailer still deciding on a light bar for the air dam, just in case it's a late night and i need to get the car on there in the dark.

Picked up the battery box, terminals, and cables for under a benjamin. This was from my research:

Just enough chinesium to kill me probably... or make my dick glow in the dark.

Nice.

I like those battery boxes, use them for fuel tank pumps sitting in the open. Easy to run wires and cables in and out of.
On one I put a cheap digital voltmeter (on a switch) to quickly see how the battery is doing.

Those 1 ga cables are far better than the 2 ga ones I have. You just cost me some money.

And the battery post terminals would allow me to use a larger battery (which I already have) in the trailer's tool box. Thank you for finding them for me.

Plenty of room for a big boy battery.

Looks good.

I'm rethinking my whole battery/cable situation. Will still need the nice jumper cables you posted earlier, but can probably fit the battery in the front toolbox.

That'll allow using much shorter cables for the winch, and then smaller gauge ones going to the hydraulic pump and compressor.

The space lost in the toolbox would partially be made up for by using the room the batteries in the under bed boxes is occupying now. Glad you got my going on this project.

need to get this on the trailer and setup. 1 cable for trickle and lights (will convert lights plug end). Middle is for 1ga charging from alternator/batter and 1 more for winch ends

Saving another $90 is a good savings, I'm surprised when they scanned the coupon code the register didn't catch it, that 30% savings was only on items less than $20, I bought that same generator a number of years ago for a hell-uv-alot less than $900

No @jonx96 didn't read the fine print. Didn't apply, I think the manager took him in the back and then we'll you know the rest. On his knees @jonx96 went 🤣. 30% is 30%.
