I got a bottle of Ethos Ceramic wax and put it on the car. Any ideas how long it will last before it needs to be recoated? I looked at the Chemical Guys Hydro Slick as well but decided to try this out. I used to use Colinite but looking for something with more staying power.

Like ANY wax it will last a couple months. If u keep applying the wax it will work better but if ur gonna spend the time to wax it then u have to decontaminate it with chemicals then a clay bar and prep the panels with alcohol before applying.

So if ur gonna do all that work then just buy some ceramic coat and apply it vs the wax. I can actually get my car to shine better with Turtle wax Graphene that I can with a ceramic coat alone but it just doesnt last long OR u could apply the graphene wax over the ceramic coat after it dries to make the car pop even better.

Wax is Wax and only offers minimal protection against the elements, it wears off quickly. It doesn't matter if they say it's got ceramic in it or not the longevity still won't last as long.

Polymer polish will protect longer than a wax but still only has limited longevity. Before the ceramics came out I used Astro Shield that was used in by aviation FBO's to coat the small planes.

Ceramic coating will probably last the longest provided you apply it correctly. I have my car ceramic coated and it is still holding up strong after 8 years of hand washing and blow drying.

If you plan on running your car through a brush automatic car wash. It won't matter what you put on it. Nothing can withstand that kind of punishment.
